Welcome to the world of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. I have found throughout my career there is a lot of information about our industry which is way too complicated and time-draining to be useful for our day-to-day routine. Therefore I decided to make this Channel and website for the go-to place for guidance, training and useful content. I remember starting out in my career and to this day scrolling through various websites and books trying to accumulate valuable information to expand my knowledge of becoming a competent experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer. So after years of collecting and learning the industry I wanted to share my experience and expertise with people starting out on the journey and also experienced Engineers alike.
One of the best things about our career is we never stop learning I like to say the following quote which is very true.
At around 40 years old I am only halfway through my apprenticeship. (me 1st January 2021)

🏍 The CX500 has a mechanical fan which is driven from the camshaft, which is a poor design due to the fan constantly spinning and also has the potential problem of overheating due to the lower rpm involved in stationary city riding. I take some ideas from around the web and modify the fan with a Kawazaki zx6r fan assy, to be eventually wired into the M-unit. ▶️ Parts list- Rubber isolators- www...

Which airline is that plane flying for??
Invisible comments fuck AdTube......
......
Two years and UA-cam deletes all comments .even though the guy died two years ago....
UA-cam still running ads on a channel where the creator has died. Yep, it's all about money. Disgraceful .
Hi, I finding out now (reading your comments) that Ian might be dead about two years ago, but he answered a comment around one year ago???, do you know for sure what ever happened to him?
RIP Ian
Obviously no reply from you.
When are you intending to finish the project. As in creating your cafe racer? It's been a while i, can only assume you gave up.
What happened to this project. It ended when you completed engine re-assembly? Nothing since. I can only assume the engine broke down with a catastrophic failure?
You have done an excellent job thus far. CX500 engine is not the easiest of engine to work on.
Interesting to watch. I used to own a cx500B. It had a camchain failure. Traded it in for the CX 500 Euro. I'm currently working on it.
Did you get the oringfor the drive splines shaft. If so, do you have the number. Or the original sizes. Thanks.
thanx mate its very helpfull
Can you share tips on how you smashed out the ceramic portion of the right hand pickup? If you remember? I’ve been attacking it with a Dremel, drill, and other barbaric methods but am not getting very far. Was this how you did it?
After a lot of smashing I finally got it. But can you explain why we only need one pickup? I’m following your exact upgrades/steps but do not fully understand the “why” behind this.
Reminds me of american airlines flight 587
Ferrari of the skies vs Ferrari of the roads
0:31 sounds like it iş a sophisticated spaceship
What size of collar/dowel goes into crankshaft cap end?
Also when the Pump the fuel in the combustionchamber in a steamturbine press and out the Steamheathighpressureturbine come Kondensat trails behind the plane out than was what for fuel in the Chamber Used? Diesel that was mixed to JP8 or 1??? For not frezze in by -60 degrees, how much diesel pump i in my compressor at home before they beginn to fly on claer not smelling flyfuel Jet A1?❤😂❤😂❤😂😂 12er and 18er pipes for 1to fuel for hundred km in midair with flytime by 500 km/h x 100km = 12min ok 1000L : 12min = 83,333L per Min.÷2 MAKE 41,6666Lmin by 1meterps for fueltransport inline in a 18mm ok but 12mm pipe not bad how high is the pumppressure3,5 insight the Tank?😂😂😂
OMG it’s flyr I miss them so much.🇳🇴😢
4:07 testing starts here
Bro not the middle finger😂
Fantastic work. Where do we get that dipstick with the temperature meter?
Hai dimenticato rondella ingranaggio avviamento
IN the airliner it is more comfy to do. DFDR is overhead of the cabin accessed in aft galley area and facing towards you for hookup.
Nice work !!! Can you share a link to order a crankshaft cap ? I see it’s the same one you out on the front As Well ? Thank you
… thanks, understand the reasons given for the pause :) I’m based in Stavanger and just starting work on my second CX500. Enjoyed your videos and liked your stuctured, thoughtful approach to the rebuild :)
dumb question but how the hell you remove that screw that is in an awkward angle on the pitot ? Most of the people around I asked and even me still managed to screw up the screw. what is the proper tool ? ring rachet with a bit holder ? the flexible bit ?
I remember we used a wooden hammer handle to wedge a bit holder in there then use it as a pry bar. Maybe Boeing have a unique tool ($$$) for this I am not sure 😂
@@aircraftengineerstoolbox2560 hahah alright duly noted might try that idea the next time around. Thanks man !
Please make more videos on MAX
Esta en venta en el mercado libre, buen día
i was understanding slowly but surely why they added this. the pilot on american 587 was abusing the rudder inputs, leading to the tail fin detaching. of course it was sometime after 9/11, so everyone thought it was another attack.
Great information, thanks.
... just watched all of your videos, I enjoyed them and learned a bit too, so thank you :) How is the project going?
Hi Still here, The project is on hold but not forgotten, house, country and job relocation have made me busy the last year I am hoping to get back into it in the new year.
How about apu shutdown sound?
... we all do it, extreme expletives help :)
... like your structured approach to marking fasteners etc., bagging and ziplock to major part removed. do you buy the stuff bags online?
Actually there free issue from my workplace 🤫
… enjoying the journey, its real. lots of time spent finding the right spanner and relief when the bolt unscrews instead of shearing. one question, which workshop manual would you recommend?
I used the factory service manual, its clear and simple to follow.
Hello Ian, Hope you are well. Any progress on the frame?
...beautiful, good job :)
Thanks hoping to finish the rest soon, life gets in the way sometimes.
Ian, I miss your dulcet tones…
Tresbonreportagehenri
you remember the tail number on this?
Lots if pipes but ni fuel or tanks. ...I'm asking for a video showing the tanks...
I don’t think you would believe it if you saw it. I think you’ve decided that nothing will ever be good enough proof. Those plates in the opening shot are literally the tank plates
The fuel tanks are inside the wings
Thanks for this
your videos are very helpful, thanks. I am making the same motorcycle now, so it is very interesting
Thankyou, one day I will get back to finishing the frame.
Sorry, but your camera man sucks.
