Do you like characters akin to a silverback gorilla? Do you like characters with combos as subtle as a brick - yet high in damage like your favorite cereal is high in fiber? If yes, you will like May. But what if you want to learn the basics of the character without looking through Excel spreadsheets of damage numbers and frames? Then you have come to the right video. By the end of this video you should understand the basic concepts and fundamentals to playing May - and have enough firepower to go online and have some fun.
I will try and upload more consistently now - I pinky promise. Enjoy the video and let me know in the comments who you want to see next.

I started guilty gear recently, notably i haven't played any of the games before. So the one thing I found odd is that the "auto combos" are on a repetitive movement input, just wanted to mention it.

Nice video, as a beginner its so overwhelming to hear people say things like “Start off with a 6P to 314H then 14P into j5H and end with a CD 6216H” 😅

Just came here from another channel and I took away far more from this than his video. Actually taking a moment to pause and let people comprehend what they heard is huge. Maybe that other video was too much for someone just getting started, and wasn't ever intended for that. Thank you for sharing this and I feel like I'm ready to go press some buttons.

After this video I've definetely noticed that most of my matches I win when I just have them in the corner, only took me this video to realise that was the case. (Also I REALLY need to get better at knowing how to time my attacks...)

From what I’ve gathered, the May gameplay loop goes like this: Spam Mr. Dolphin combos and block-strings until your opponent is in the corner > Opponent is in the corner? Ho baby it’s *mashing time* > repeat

Five minutes is to much for this character. You should do it in 2 or 1. This character is literally easy mode. Just rekka pressure your opponents in the corner till the get bored of blocking.
