Just ordered one for my lean tuxedo Tom, and another for my daughter’s Siberian Forest Tom kitty. I’ll probably have to make a large-size version once he grows (they get up to 20-30 lbs)

I have two cats and they play with each other. I don't need to play with them. So much easier to have 2❤

For planting subsequent batches of catch grass, can you reuse the soiling mix that came in the box or do you have to use your own? If the latter, can I use regular potting soil mix? Thanks

I find it sad that everybody looks over the fact that the box that this product comes in is a toy. The cardboard box has circles that you can do cut outs in or pop out. And then you put kitty treats inside it. My cat is 12 years old in all of his life. I have never found a better toy for him. He has been every day sitting by it and letting me know he needs to have his treats added to it so he can have fun. I swear it keeps him busy day and night. He’s Always been an avid hunter, and now that he’s an indoor cat. He thinks this is the greatest creation ever. So please don’t overlook the box. I would pay money just to buy another box if anything happened to his. And yes, it is the best grass to grow. I hate all of the other ones you buy at the pet food stores. They never last, and I’ve gotten a whole lot longer than a weeks worth of use out of mine

Vermiculite is a really good germination substrate... Why presprout with paper?

Wow. Your 7 minute video is more helpful than the folks who work at Cat-it!! I was about to give up on this product but I think our issue might be the water that hides in the bottom of the planter. It’s quite a significant amount if you’re watering every day & not tipping it to fully drain. I’m giving this another go.🤞🏻

Cork looks so much better than most carpets. I have to keep that in mind for when I redo my catwall. (I used an old yogamat mostly for budget reasons.)

I'm pretty sure vermiculate can have asbestos in it. I would switch it out for perlite or leca .

Thank you this review. I was considering getting this for my single cat (I live alone with my cat and can only have one cat) and am trying to find ways to keep him entertained. Good to know that this probably won't be great for him since he'd probably need another cat to keep him entertained.

Also, since the Home-made holes are odd sizes, the cats get stuck in the some of the holes (temporarily!) and it gets pretty damn funny.

I made my own ripple rug...just trying to save a few buck$. It worked and I found the right materials but I didn't save THAT much $ ...only about $10...though I have enough material to make an EXTRA ripple rug or two for friends if I wanted to. My cats are STUPID over this ridiculous thing! It's well worth the $ and unless you really like messing with bulky craft projects, shopping at hardware stores, hand sewing and the like, I recommend BUYING one from the company. This thing is SERIOUSLY attractive to cats. EVEn after they've stomped it down FLAT, they lounge on it, and I have tons of couches, beds, plush rugs and cat beds for them. I don't get cats but , whatever, they love this freaking ripple rug~!

So, you have to plant new grass seeds every week to week-and-a-half for the cat to have fresh grass at all times?

I found the instructions complicated because I never soled the grass before mixing it and I just wanted it in the bowl. Will it still work if done incorrectly and where can you buy more grass when this is finished.

Our cat found the spiders particularly fascinating!
