I know of two museums closed "for refurbishment" then never reopened :(

I have always wanted to visit Portmeirion and stay along the Estuary and must action it now after watching the video, being as I am from Cardiff and therefore lived there most of my life, the road trip to get to North Wales is a long one. Funnily enough I only eat ice cream when it's cold, not the ice cream but the time of year I hasten to add and love the ending. I like my watches and they make a rubber ball for removing/unscrewing the backs of said watches and it always reminds me of The Prisoner series and makes me chuckle sometimes.

If ever you get the chance to go to St Fagans folk museum , outside Cardiff I would go and you would need a few days to cover it all. that trip would get a few videos, split up into a couple of parts. I think you would love the Seires made for BBC Wales in 2008, called 'Coal House' set in 1927 where they recreate the living and working conditions and is superb. It is available as a DVD box set and maybe worth checking youtube but I prefer the hard copy and Dvd players are cheap. Anyway will stop rambling on and bid you a good day. D ps. I would live in the 1860s house now and at 11:21 you had your shower for the week :-) (I couldn't resist.

I still need to travel on the WHHR even though I've been to Porthmadog a number of times, however I'm a Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway volunteer so dedicate my time in the area to the 40 mile railway. The bars are to stop window hanging, due to limited clearances that may be on the WHHR, on the F&WHR, not too sure having only been to their porthmadog station and passed on board the WHR on both the carriages, and on the footplate
