Perfect Draft Unboxing & First Pint of Hawkstone Lager
Unboxing the PerfectDraft Tap and pulling a pint of Hawkstone Lager.
I have recently upgraded the coffee bar with something a little different. I have really been enjoying the machine since getting it on the coffee bar. I purchased this with my own money and this video is not sponsored by perfect draft.

Roasting the IKAWA Espresso Blend on the IKAWA Home Roaster
Переглядів 635Рік тому
In this video I am roasting the IKAWA Espresso Blend that is available from IKAWA Home for use on the home roasting system. This is a blend of two Brazilian coffees and Ethiopian coffee. I have been really enjoying this blend for milk drinks as it goes really well with dairy. Thank you for watching! *Disclaimer* this roaster was sent to me by IKAWA, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own...
Roasting and brewing a geisha on the IKAWA Home
Переглядів 3,1 тис.Рік тому
In this video I am roasting a new coffee from IKAWA, a Geisha from 90 Plus Coffee Farms in Panama. Roasting on the IKAWA Home Roaster again then brewing it up on the OREA V3. This coffee was way to fresh to be brewing but I wanted to see how the roast had gone. After this coffee had rested it tasted far better than in the video. Thank you for watching! *Disclaimer* this roaster was sent to me b...

Single Dosing Home Workflow - Lelit Bianca & Niche Zero
Переглядів 15 тис.Рік тому
Quick workflow of me brewing a flat white this morning. I needed to refill my single dosing tubes so I thought I would include that in this workflow. I use a custom holder to keep my tubes attached to my pegboard which I designed and 3D printed. I really enjoy using the tubes at home as it makes it that little bit quicker when you are in a rush to make a coffee. Hope you enjoy! Equipment used h...
Lelit Bianca Workflow - Pulling The First Shot
Переглядів 6 тис.Рік тому
Quick video of me pulling a shot of espresso from a new bag of coffee from Naughty Dog Roasters in Czechia. It's a washed Columbian coffee called Wilson Campo. This first shot (whilst not perfect) tasted pretty damn good. I pulled it 18g to 45g out (more like 1:3) in about 28 seconds. It was super clean with hardly any bitterness and a lovely caramel finish. Equipment used here: Espresso Machin...

Relaxing Coffee Workflow - Lelit Bianca
Whats the label system you're using on your bean storage? At the moment I just use painters tape and sharpie, but would prefer what you have.
Look up whiteboard stickers or black board stickers. Comes with an erasable marker
Great machine for the novice. Poor machine for someone like me that roast at least a half pound at the time. If this roaster would roast one pound at the time, I would own one.
Too pretentious for me
Under extraction bit fine
"Budget end game" machine right there. What more could you ask for. There are better ones, ofc, but at a much higher price tag (diminishing returns, so not worht it really imo). Not a fan of Niche, nor Fellow grinders, but that part is easily changed if needed. Nice setup mate, enjoy your cups.
5 Minuten für einen Kaffee. 😴
A huge procession to make coffee, but you ended up with the wrong cup!
Do you have a link to the niche zero portafilter holder? I figured i can find it on etsy but i don't. It's beautiful!
I don't it was custom made for me by someone. Having recently upgraded from the Niche I am looking to part ways with mine so drop me a message if you are still interested.
May I ask which size the orea glass is? 175ml or 275? Thank you
The people of the industry that sold you all that sh@t are laughing thir heads of about you.
Bang it one more time...I am sure you can tell the difference in flavor that causes.
i've seen your ad of facebook marketplace hhaha
What’s the second lever on top of the shower made for?
It’s a valve meant for adjusting flow of water through the shower during the shot but his is broken, it’s locked into the always fully open position so I don’t know why he’s fiddling with it
Nice video :) Do you use the 14-18g basket or the 18-21g ? :)
Hi, which dose and basket do you use ? 15.4 in the 14-18g basket ? :)
is that bianca stock basket, I dont see a ridge inside?
Just got the same machine. Learning how to use it. May I know what’s that round piece of thing you put on the tampered powder? I don’t see it when I unboxed. Thanks.
Wow ! Amazing 😍
Lovely ❤🎉🎉
Nice vid, please speak more clearly next time. Couldn’t understand 80% of what you are saying…
I noticed you were hitting around 10 bar, why is that? I thought this was supposed to be more 9. I ask because my machine goes up to about 10.5
What portafiler basket do you use?
Sorry Boss, I actually ordered Tea……
hi very nice setup bro
Stumbled upon your video, I couldn't but notice that despite your paddle being all the way to the left, pressure rose quite quickly-on my Bianca, keeping the paddle there takes up to 25s to see beading. Perhaps it's intentional but if it isn't, you might want to adjust the paddle to have 0ml/s when fully closed to about 6ml/s when fully opened. It seems that your current setup doesn't completely stop flow when in the closed position. Cheers!
What grind setting did you use on your Fellow Ode?
I have monsoon malabar from india that i'm trying to roast. But the results are atrocious. How do you load non-ikawa bean profile?
i felt like patrick bateman during the business card scene watching this video.
Nice setup. We own same Lelit Bianca v3 machine. I wish I waited half a year more, so that I would get the white coated one. Cause I believe that coating helps avoid fingerprints. We have same tamper also. I use a pullman basket (17-19 grams) and Lelits double spout. I am considering the Weber Unifiliter , but I am afraid that the Chrome of the Lelit Bianca can get very dirty. I am sure that at some point, I will purchase and try it. As for the grinder, I own the Ceado E6p. Nice grinder. 64 mm flat burrs for espresso. At some point in the future, I will look for single dose solution. I like the Kafatek flat max, but at this price, I can’t even think of it. The Mazzer Philos is a nice option too. The Weber Key MKii, is conical burrs but can brew some interesting espresso. What do you think as for single dose grinders ? And I would also like to ask you which puck screen are you using
What was the make of the water thingy that cleaned the milk steamer container? Did you have to tie that into the plumbing? Thank you!!!
Nice
Hey Jason, thanks so much for the video! Do you think that the roaster is worth it after five months?
It looks like it didnt roast the beans evenly…???
If i remember correctly 50grams is supposed to be the ideal amount for a roast batch, he did 100gms, could be why it didn't come out evenly roasted.
Watching this as I’m drinking my instant coffee
😂
Can you make a video on iced coffee recipe?
Get a bellow. Dont knock niche. Well you can it’s yours but get a bellow. You have every option known to man on that table except a bellow.
I have the niche and a bellow, knocking it is absolutely necessary even after bellowing for the amount of coffee left in the machine
I've owned a Niche for a couple years. Never once have I ever felt compelled to purchase a bellows. I don't RDT either. The only knocking I occasionally do is tap the lid a bit. I get the exact same weight out every time that I put in. Zero retention. Adding a bellows eliminates the biggest advantage that the Niche has over other single dose grinders. If you feel the need to use one then you might as well have saved your money and bought a DF64 instead.
Have you changed the Lelit shower screen?
Great video! How is the preheating functionality on the home roaster? Do you simply turn it on and let it sit for 5-20 min? Does it have a preheating function to begin with? Seems the internet is divided on this one.
高壓洗杯器的連結方便提供一下嗎?感謝
How much different is the taste between this and a DF64V grinder + Breville Barista touch if you dont want to experiment too much and just want consistent same espresso / cappuccino? Worth the $3000 for the Lelit?
I see that you’re roasting back to back, how often are you doing this? I often hear and see that you shouldn’t be roasting back to back with this hence the pro models. How’s it going 3 months in? Great video btw
Yeah still having a good time with it, never had an issue with back to back roasting tbh. I have roasted over 600 grams in one session. IKAWA do mention it is okay to do it back to back. The Pro models are more aimed at businesses and roast profiling and sampling.
Thanks for the feedback. Doing some research and trying to benchmark vs the Gene Cafe and Behmor. When it comes to cupping, often you should roast light as possible in order to break down deficiencies in the green beans, can you simply roast 25 grams or do you have to always roast 100 grams? Think of mitigating waste@@itsjasondavies
is the drip tray connected to the drain?
yeah!
Its cool but it removes the craft away from roasting coffee. The equipment does everything, no need to use your senses.
You can create your own profiles in the app also, this is just a good way to get your foot in the door.
equally complicated to a traditional Japanese Tea ceremony.
Nice machine but the 30 minute warmup time is too long. By the time it was ready to make coffee I'm nearly walking out the door for work.
A smart plug or timer plug can resolve this and mean its ready to go once you are up. Requires some planning / a normal routine but it does work.
True, but what about weekends or evenings if I am consuming at different times each day?@@itsjasondavies
Buying v3 solves this issue . If you start it as dual boiler you will have it ready in less than 15 mins and if you do not turn the steam boiler on it will be ready in under 10.
Alexa is the answer. Machine goes to sleep after a couple of hours and is ready again in less than 10 mins.
The brew boiler takes about 4 minutes to warm up and the whole machine takes 10 minutes in total.
What's that cup you used for dosing the beans in the beginning?
Its a handmade ceramic one :)
Hi Jason. What are the milk pitchers please?
I use a 450ml WPM handleless mostly.
Hi James. Thank you for your videos. Do you recommend good coffee beans online store in UK?
Plenty of great ones, Obadiah Coffee, Plot Coffee, Squaremile Coffee are some of my favourites!
Hi, Where can I buy the wooden WDT tool and the dosing funnel, Thanks~
Dosing funnel was from etsy some time ago, the wdt is from a company called Clara Coffee
lol this is exactly my deam setup
thanks for watching :)
