Paid in taxes jobs are fake jobs, but the money is REAL. My aunt makes $300,000/ year getting paid through the taxation of others. Not ethical, but everyone I know in life from high school that is rich got paid in taxes from a government "job".
More accountant interviews please
By the time your payment goes through, there will be interest charged, so I always pay Nelnet like $2,100 payment and then a $2 payment
Hey man, I just discovered your videos in 2024. Currently pursuing an industry accounting career at the Intermediate Accountant level at the moment. Hope your career is going well at present day. Cheers.
@@BadBoy_604 Thanks! I’m still in government accounting for almost 5 years now. Good luck with everything
@@TheBizyB Thanks man! Awesome to hear!
Is moving up the GS guaranteed every year?
Thanks for the great and informative video. At the end of your video, you briefly mentioned finance as an field that an accountant can specialize in. Can you please elaborate on this? I am very interested in this possibility. I would rather would for an firm that is involved in investing, or financial analysis.
Obviously CPA exam has been a pain in my but that won't bother me any longer I have gotten my license already thanks to you Mr Dylan God bless you more cuz you made it possible for me
Am sorry for that some people also go through difficulties, just be patient and keep studying
I saw someone say he is not trustworthy i couldn't stop laughing, really people say a lot of shit these days.
People keep talking about Dylan all over UA-cam,he must be a very awesome help.
Yes you're correct but remember heaven helps those who help themselves, try studying if you can't study then get yourself a good help
I studied for months and couldn't pass, I guess passing is a blessing
thank you , could youbplz share your daily routine of studying ?
Check 10302 was voided in year 2. Why should it be adjusted?
Same question!!! Did you get an answer ? Can anyone PLEASE give an answer to this question????
Thank you this is very informative! I want to go this route for job security
A very honest and motivating video. Failure should never hold us back
Can I get a job with the government if I get a post bachelor certificate in accounting?
Yes, but it depends really on the job. They should have the requirements in the posting and sometimes you just need a certain number of accounting classes.
Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard, if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan
People keep talking about Dylan all over UA-cam, he must be a very awesome help
Yes you're correct but remember heaven helps those who help themselves, try studying if you can't study then get yourself a good help
CPA exam might seem so tough to pass but studying very hard is a very vital skill to win trust me.
Everyone has their own way, Dylan worked for me and studying didn't .
passed mine after studying so hard, I'm not discouraging anyone just wanna say do whatever you believe will help you pass.
So you didn't watch the videos or do the sims?
How did you overcome not memorizing the questions and answers?
Hiii!! I just graduated and I am thinking about going into government accounting. Is a CPA needed if I plan to work government longterm or plan to stick with it as a career?
No it is not needed. Always a plus to have in accounting though.
Omg just show us the steps
this is a pie in the sky joke that will never happen
Hi Brandon, Pl let me know if Becker is good enough for BEC. This is my last exam... 7:54
Congratulations 🥳 thank you for this great advice. If you don’t mind, do you know form where I can get Becker’s books by spending not much??
Hi Brandon, can you share your experience with your interview when applying?
I may have missed it. Did you start off your career in Government accounting or did you go from public to government? If so, how much experience did you need to qualify for the exam for a government position?
Hey @brandongap Great video. A quick question, on avg what percentage were you getting when doing sets of 38 questions from Becker practice test for FAR? I feel like I am stuck between 55 and 65% on mcq’s. Should I continue to use this method and learn from understanding the answer or should I approach a different method? Thank you so much
Can you help me with questions for BEC so that I cẩn focus I am very nervous
@pauliesioocnnell2524 how to reach her I don’t have any idea
@pauliesioocnnell2524 can you please let me know how to reach her
Hello, Do you know if I can submit a sealed official transcript my self or does it have to be directly from school to CBA?
Many public accounting firms now offer outsourced accounting services. Not just audit and tax
Hii, I've gone through ur study strategy...but when did study for SIMs or the approach for sims is not mentioned?
Hello, I didn’t focus on sims that much during review. I would only do some sims during my 2 week review period.
How you apply for back stimulus checks

I don't know the amount of my stimulus check,IRS, did it for me to see ,and didn't get the amount
How to handle with Trade In Moments with the ticket system. (Locker Room Packs) Most of the Moments I get out of the TradeIn Packs / LockerRoom packs i also trades again in. The livetoken csv shows me a costbasis of 0$ for all Trade In Moments out of a LockerRoom Pack.
I'm on SSDI and adfaid I will be to late to do so
This is what happened to me with FAR- forgetting the start
Freed yourself then sold yourself right back.
You didn't tell shit how to get it 🤷🏿♂️wtf
Will you receive a job offer or just a phone call if you got hired?
If you received a student loan "refund" your account shows you owe that amount andpossibly accruinginterest. . Check your account regularly. Send the check back as paymet.
If you received only EIP3 for filing 2021 taxes but didn't file 2020 and 2019. Will filing for 2020 and claiming the recovery rebate credit for both payments EIP1 and 2 work?
Loved your video.
Is there any time limit after passing your exams to fulfill all requirements to get your licenses?
Just listening to that process is too much for me. Man you are better off starting your own business rather than begging the government for a few bucks.
I am currently working part time in Los Angeles city. And apply for the accountant position. Do you have any advices for departmental interview
Hi Brandon, do you know if it's true CBA require 24+6 Accounting credits in order to get licensed? I'm almost done my exam, but I'm not sure if I need more accounting credits for my license, I only have 24 accounting credits.
So I am getting my degree in accounting. I already work for the government and want to be a government accountant. When I get the degree what GS level will I start at?
I paid my loan off as well in 2021. I requested a $10K refund in Sept and still waiting. I have not seen the loan reopen yet but Great Lakes ( loan servicer) told me to go ahead and complete the loan forgiveness form. I don't know how that will work if I have no loan pending.
I started at a small to mid sized CPA firm in October 2016 in MN with a salary of $52,500 + $~400 bonus for goals (only bonus received as they canceled it for anyone under a manager). This job required ~2,268 hours per year and around 1,600-1,800 billable hours per year. I did work more than that throughout the year but only worked up to maybe 65 hours for a couple weeks out of each year (auditing governmental entities). Increases were: Sep 2017 $55,000 ~4% increase Sep 2018 $57,500 ~4.5% increase Sep 2019 $62,000 (promoted to Senior) ~7.8% increase Sep 2020 $64,000 ~3.2% increase (If it was hourly pay, this would equate to ~$26.56/hour) I left in December 2020 and switched to a Senior Accountant position at a governmental entity. I made $90,900 or $43.70/hour (~42% increase) in 2021, after health and dental insurance was paid for. In 2022, I will end with $96,500+ and 2023 should be $104,700 before the inflation factor (COLA Adjustment) to be determined in a couple of months (December 2022). Please note, this is with 40 hours a week year round! So glad I left busy season behind. I do not have my CPA either. I am never stressed and have 2 positions to jump up to above me potentially (or I could jump ship to another place that does the same exact accounting and move into a higher paying position, even if it's in a different state). Top salaries in the MN area are around $170k but CA and NY can be over $200k, although those positions come with more stress and political issues. I have a friend at a different CPA firm who earned ~$110k in 2021 after bonus as a Senior/Supervisor but also put in ~2,800 hours...so his hourly pay would be about $34.81/hour. In my opinion, it is worth starting off at a CPA firm but only stay if you plan to become a partner where you can make $150k to ...$600k+? But you will also have to work super long hours still. Depends on how much time you are willing to give up for the pay you receive. Thought I would share my experience anyway! Hope it helps someone.
Do you have to have CPA to work in governmental accounting position? Thanks!
Can u trade stock options while working for the government?
As a local government accountant I can. Can’t speak for others.
Updates?
Nothing yet. Filed a complaint with CFPB this morning.
Wish it was this easy to toggle the exhibits in the exam software! The software is far overdue an update. Thanks for the tip!
