the tone of the piano, espeically when that last note at 0:43 plays for the rest of the vid, makes me feel sad. it reminds me of childhood, or a simple time in life or even being in my childhood schools during sunset. i think that's what Deltarune does for me, which is why im replaying it every other week again and again. it's like an unendable adventure. that said, change is hard for me BIG TIME. But im digressing a bit. This song also does give me that vibe of a nostalgic, but also a goodbye, a sad one. idk. i would wanna know how others feel about this song, especially if it's similar to how i feel about it
Yeah the song mentions "and the places you used to go, seems like fantasy". That's what hit me, I used to go to a lot of places with my parents, but now things have changed and for us life got really stale. I bet Toby Fox felt something like this too.
@@lucutes2936 I'm sorry mate. Although live has gotten better for me, i still miss those times when i was younger. Im 19 now :( old as shit. But yeah, replaying Chapter 1 takes me back to those times. Chapter 2 is different however, but that's a long story. And yeah, you might be right about that. Toby likely felt something similar It's so funny to me now that I think about it. The school in the town of Deltarune gives me the same feel of my grade school, especially after the dark fountain is ceiled. I think the first chapter's feel is going to be the most unique to the other because of its unknown factor when you first play it, and of course the song.

oh, now i hear it. the audio quality kinda sucks so i can't hear it very well, but it's there. considering the entry number 17 in Undertale, that's written in wingdings and is possibly written by Gaster, this.. kinda makes sense, especially since it's played after the line "I'm with you in the dark" entry number 17 mentions a lot of darkness, with "negative photon readings", as though it's emitting literal darkness. now, i don't actually play deltarune, but.. i wonder if gaster has something to do with the dark worlds i've been hearin' about in deltarune. did he accidentally create the fountains somehow?

A variation of Gaster's Theme is played during the game's intro, and a heavily sped up version of that plays whenever you land in the Dark World in Chapter 2. They're definitely setting up Gaster as some sort of important character. Gaster is also strongly associated with the number "666" in Undertale (very subtle, I know), which also appears several times in Deltarune.

Aww, ThatEmoKid, I know you'll get better on playing the piano. I have been practicing everyday trying to sound off every key to practice my pitch hearing. I know it takes awhile,but in time, you may be even better than my level. If you have tuned piano, make it a motivation to excel :) .
