The Black Halo and Nothing Ever Dies
Переглядів 19 тис.16 років тому
Obviously I've neglected to check that all my videos were there, thus leading to me finding that youtube had rejected my last uploads, but now I'll try again. I implore you, enjoy these submissions, as the defiant Ariel challenges Mephisto and reflects once again upon the one universal truth.

III Ways to Epica

The last installment of Epica. But the tale continues in "The Black Halo". There is more to the tale. But now, rejoice at the conclusion to Epica. III Ways to Epica - 06.12
The Mourning After

Well, it seems this one, regretably, had to come in singular. (This one fused with III Ways to Epica, became too long.) Which is a shame really, because they blended well together. Nothing to do about that. In any case, I hope you enjoy this one. The Mourning After - 04.59

"What does the winter bring, if not yet another spring." 2024 And I still get emotional listening to this, I was even interested in this small town called Gatesville, one day I will pay a visit.
This is amazing, thanks for posting!
2021 <3
2021 :)
Definitely my favorite song from the album. The verses (especially the accordion) are just gorgeous, as if it were straight out of a soap opera 😌🎶🎼
this is too good, this whole album, I can't even explain
Reminds me a lot of Jethro Tull.
Love means nothing to me if there is a higher place to be...
2:44 I don't really get this line but always thought it sounds like ''hatchets of hate'' lyrics say I wasn't wrong. what a weird metaphor.
Gave this a second chance and now I love it. The Mourning though..weakest track on the album in my opinion.
Helena you came to me When seemingly life had begun Little did I know then Where this would go When this begun Once I was free to fly I never promised anything This may well be goodbye Don't ask why Don't be sad Sometimes we all Must alter paths we planned Only try understand I want to save you From the lost and damned Although you hold me close I feel retention arise Just as a hint of fear Like subtle clouds In summer skies Once in the moonlight I can't explain And I don't know Somehow we may reunite Don't ask why Don't be sad Sometimes we all Must alter paths we planned Don't forget what we had But let me save you From the lost and damned Love means nothing to me If there is a higher place to be Helena don't you cry Believe me; I do this for you Heed my decision now I will be gone tomorrow noon My tale has just begun Nothing can take my faith away In my quest for the sun Don't ask why Don't be sad Sometimes we all Must alter paths we planned Only try understand I try to save you From the lost and damned Don't ask why Don't be sad Sometimes we all Must alter paths we planned Leave me behind, don't look back Because deep within you know I'm lost and damned
As someone who loves Goethe's Faust I am so very grateful that you did this. So few people know what the songs even mean or that it's a loose adaptation of Goethe's Faust. Thank you!
11 years later and it is still fresh, it is a masterpiece thank you for uploading
2019 ;)
!!
Been a while since I've heard this
3:41 Opiate Soul and Edge of Paradise
5:05 Descent of the Archangel.
Ariel is None but Goatma Siddharta also known as Buddha
1:08 is when the music starts for you impatient folks.
2018 :)

Shivers every time. One of my favorites.
i love to sing this song in the shower and look like an idiot
[MEPHISTO:] Everyone is here The feast can soon begin Vanity we celebrate My favourite of sins [ARIEL:] Chandeliers so grand That heaven sees the shine And my friend declares Everything I look at could be mine It's a miracle Life till now has been a waste You have proved to me By your hand I'm truly graced Unbelievable Gold and glitter blinding me So adorable All these women from my fantasies [MEPHISTO:] Come with me my little ones Let's revel for the free Raise your glass and praise the fact How easy life can be [ARIEL/EVERYBODY:] In the splendour of the night I've found company Once again I feel that life's begun All the wrongs seem to be right Drowned in ecstasy Every star is like a newborn sun May the life I knew be gone I accept the deed But one point we have to modify If I wish to linger on In a state of still Only then I'm yours the day I die
the fact that this isn't a play makes me so sad XD Everything is just so beautiful and well done
Nothing epic about this one. Utter garbage.
Each to their own, I suppose.
I thought this was quite an interesting intro. What about it puts you off?
Jeffrey Stevens , the guitarist sucks. He needs to be replaced soon.
The guitarist, Thomas Youngblood, is really good imo. The bassist, Glenn Barry, who I really think wasn't too good, was replaced in 2009 with Sean Tibbets.
On the Coldest Winter Night must be my favourite... just too moving
2017 <3
Luce sine, O fortuna, Veni Theos: Without light, O chance, come, God!
This was the best way to end the album, hands down.
the end of the song literally sounds like him ariel closing the door to his home and running away
So much better with a glass of wine :)
I love the notes on this. After I tore the blue painter's tape off of my neighbor's RAV4, a neighbor with eyes as blue and hair as blond as mine, I needed something to calm me down and give me faith. Better than a church hymn, this rock opera is resounding over the pond as I sit at the stereophile's distance from my speakers. I needed a story of love and the lost. What did the blue painter's tape read? ALL LIVES MATTER. I am so fucking angry about that. Thank god for that black man who literally laid is life on the line for that autistic man with a toy truck. I too suffer with my neuro-divergence... ... some lives are piles of feces, lived by people who act as sheep, lining up to destroy... ...
ok
Bad ass!!
You're amazing and super awesome for posting this. Thanks A LOT <3
Im so glad that I found this last piece of his story! I was SO depressed when I read the "This pain" and thought "Does it end like THIS?". Then, today I've found out that this stunning song - and my favourite - it's actually, the ending. <3
Nice job Ariel, nice fucking job there buddy.
+TheDerekneseEmporer EVERY time I listen to Lost and Damned I'm always thinking "Don't do it Ariel! Don't do it it's a trap!! D:"
+Boomer Roberts this response is pure gold jeje
And here's my annual visit., just passing by again
holy crap that intro made center of the universe even more epic
@SlackProduction Even if you did not interpret them yourself, fact remains that you're the only person in the youtube community who did make these videos and that is what differentiates you from the rest.
eu sou gay e quero dar muito o cu pra um cara bem dotado me ajudem????? por obsequio
What an intelligent and moving album. And this is its peak.
I think A Feast for the Vain is one of their best songs
Both Epica and The Black Halo are the most fuckin' genial things that the world has ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!
These are awesome, thanks for posting these analyses!
Lost & Damned, my favorite Kamelot song \m/
For those who asked about the Latin on the first song: 5. Interlude I: Dei Gratia (Grace of God) Sub sole nihil novi est Ad astra per aspera Quaerite prime regnum dei Ante bellum memento mori [English translation:] Nothing new under the sun to the stars through the thorns [or, to the stars after the rain] Seek first the kingdom of God Remember the death before the war.
He actually says “ Ad aspera, per aspera " “ To thorns ( a metaphor for hardships ) through thorns ".
+FabainLacapus In other words, its another way to say "Light at the end of the tunnel. Different words, same meaning.
+Bradley McDaniel Actually the way it's worded here he's saying that the light at the end of his tunnel is Hell fire.
yeah, i see this as neverending suffering, even after working so hard for his answers, they never came, fighting for it only brought him more suffering
Fantastic!
Please do
What I love most about the March is the double lines in it. Aye, Ariel has his own lines directed to Marguerite with Mephisto just being the subtle schemer behind him, but you've also got the potential for it being a monologue to Ariel from Mephisto with the growling being the fallen angel's will seeping its way in. These albums are glorious, if only more like them existed the world would be such a more beautiful place.
