I met Trey at Aces Records in Tampa back in day. I was a kid and he was so personable and kind to me. He talked to me about the living continuum and truly expanded my horizons beyond music. He was a true inspiration to me on many levels. I will always love and appreciate him for that. Here’s to one of the last true legends of the art of death metal, he is a treasure…

I call these people 'intuitive' performers (notice I haven't written musician). As a riffer, an arranger - Trey is cool, has a twisted style, but anything beyond his style and his ideas, he (realistically) isn't that good - other than IN his own music.

When was this? He really doesn’t look well. I’m very sad seeing him like this. This is why I’ve never gotten into anything heavier than drinking IPA. Drugs really are bad. Morbid Angel, I own everything they released…including “Illud” although it really is a terrible album.
