When I played war for cyber torn on hard mode I had a troublesome time against omega supreme but his fight was peanuts compared to every phase of the fight with trypticon normally I hate seeing megaton punish his forces when they don’t deserve it but trypticon deserves this

since they take place in the same continuity, I like to imagine that TFP episode where the Nemesis was fueled by dark energon and temporarily became self aware? yeah I like to think that was Trypticon.

This is One of the rare cases I felt truly horrified, disgusted and saddened by what Megatron did. I mean, sure, I have fun hating on the guy for all the bots he killed. But this? This was.... This is probably as close as a Cybertronian can get to being r*p*d.... He took away someone's body, while he was alive. And what's worse, if trypticon IS still in there. He's stuck. There's no going back for him. No moving forward. That's his life. Forever. And Megatron did it to one of his own. A very loyal one from all the evidence. Just cause it's easier then retrofitting the dozens of dmged warships he surly has

I felt bad for Trypticon

As much as i hate what megatron did here, i can comprehend his choice. The war is coming to and end on cybertron, the autobots already have a ship, megs energon supply is severely drained due to starscream taking over for a while. The decepticons are a bit desperate, where are they gonna find a ship? Repairing trypticon would take too much time, which is a thing that is running out, so even if it was an evil act on megs' side, trypticon *did* fail to destroy the autobots, giving megatron a reason for his act, not forgiving it because the punishment was too severe, but it gives him a motive. So overall, understandable Also: the autobots also did something cruel, they were also desperate for energon, they were draining trypticon's energy while he was alive. Both were desperate, both did bad things, and the truth is in war you win through strategy not kindness

Yeah, “sacrifice” implies he did it willingly. Trypticon’s story is honestly sad… his body and his mind were robbed by those he pledged himself to.

I have a theory that blackhole in end of the story altered the reality slightly,and this is why a lot of things diffrent in Tfp. Trypticons corpse beign the ship is not one of them

I like Megatron, he’s a cool villain and all but this is messed up

I can understand why Megatron did this he was a titan with a vast arrange of weapons but he had 3 aerial bots destroy his transformation cog, crashed on Cybertron, got bodied by Optimus, and was held captive, I love Trypticon but my boy have no excuse for failure 😂

Even though he was a pain in the ass in WFC, I still felt bad for him in this scene

Think about it this way, Trypticon was given a second chance. One where he would serve without fail, as he would function as far and as good as his occupants - if he was loyal to Megatron as depicted, this was perhaps the greatest honor he could've asked for. There are many comments proving this proves the difference between Optimus and Megatron, they might be right. But honor, pity, forgiveness, and empathy have no place in total war - this is a civil war on a galactic scale, one which both sides are both right and wrong. Megatron was a gladiator, a slave, fighting against the people who implemented the current system which uses SLAVERY. Those are the autobots. Optimus is fighting to restore order - the very order and freedom which condemned Megatron as a slave (another origin has him being a miner) and allowed gladiatorial pits. Megatron took a fallen ally and reformed him into a essential weapon, needed to face the Autobot's Arc, to give his side a chance -- if that isn't fulling the embodiment of a transformer, I don't know what is.

Dude even after a whole decade this game is still amazing. From the missions, the graphics, scenery and even the music. God this game will always be a classic…

Knowing Trypticon, he might consider this an honor. Being useful to Megatron, no matter how, was always his game plan. At least in these games.

Megatron was shown in his truest form in these games. His commentry in gameplay, speeches in cut scenes, and ruthlessness to his troops were perfect. This scene was the most brutal. You literally see Tryipticons mouth shut, showing his lack of voice regarding his fate, and the light snatched from his eyes before the screen goes dark. This Megatron is the best incarnation in all Transformers media IMO.

Tryptocon destroyed hundreds of autobots while they were trying to leave cybertron. He deserves no sympathy.

Sacrifice? Funny word choice.
