Thank you for this review. I have been wanting this figure for the longest time. I love the color scheme and it's a better look than the bludgeon character that comes in the two pack with Wheeljack. My only issue is it's so darn expensive and the resellers don't offer any kind of discounts. I'll just have to break down and pay whatever they want because I really want this character for my collection!

I think it has to do with how Wheeljack (or Que) looked in the original Bayverse Trilogy, I legit did realize that Que was meant to be Wheeljack until a week ago when I was trying to remember Que’s name and I had to google it

No idea what the reference about your voice sounding different than usual is all about (this is the first time I visit your channel), but damn, you sound like Prime Airachnid - and yes, that's a compliment.

Design could have worked if he had turned out to be memorable... he sounds latino, but he explicitely states not being, he is zen but easily offended, becoming passive agressive, and wears glasses for the mere excuse of avoiding being punched in the face... hope we never see him again

I love this toy. This was the G1 Transformer I played with the most as a kid.

I agree that the robot mode is great. In fact, it's my favorite main line Bumblebee. As much as I like the Netflix Bumblebee, I think this one gets his proportions a lot better.

I must have bought the only good Tracks. Mine doesn't have any of the issues I always hear about.

This is a great figure! You mention this proviso in the video, but I'll reiterate it for anyone reading the comments who is thinking about getting this figure-it's important to view this figure in the context of the state of Transformers when it came out in 2018. That said, the robot mode head sculpt is my favorite Optimus Prime head sculpt of all time (narrowly edging out last year's Volvo VNR head sculpt). I also love that the small bot is Orion Pax and how he changes into Optimus Prime via a Powermaster-esque play pattern. All three versions of this mold are great for different reasons. This one has Orion Pax, Nemesis' dark color scheme gives the vehicle mode greater cohesion, and Star Convoy's small bot is Optimus Prime. I think Star Convoy is my favorite incarnation, but I love 'em all.

The way that Optimus and the others look since the Bumblebee movie, they're almost like the perfect hybrid of Michael Bay's Quintology of films and the original generation one toys and designs. I personally am a big fan of that, and it's really got me looking into buying this figure and others that may come down the line (perhaps go with the main G1 line for some characters like Ironhide and the classic Seeker trio). One at a time.

I got this guy from "Argos" in the UK where he was one of 4 potential choices in their catalogue. I was hoping for "Sunstorm Grappel" who i picked up later but I find much less interesting. The only downside is my copy of Lugnut has a warped left bombay section although I guess it makes mine unique/ worthless. Lol.

Why not let Wheeljack be the same Wheeljack we all grown to love. His caricature, origins, personality and cool toy. Why not just be more creative and come up with new caricature traits and new names? It is all in the marketing. They can sell more product just because of the name.

Wow! He is going for big money on eBay. $400 in sealed box. $200 for just figure. He has become sort of a Holy Grail of Transformer collectors. Luckily I found one in an auction nobody was bidding on and I got in a sealed in box for a good price.

If you think she's got gayass vibes now, just wait till you see the one IDW19 Cover Art with Flamewar & Slipstream! Team Stream Trio my beloved Flamewar & Shadow Striker are like. Definitely A Thing in that comic and I can't wait till I have my own Shadow Striker to put next to my SG Flamewar (who's design was based on her IDW19 incarnation)

I love this Elita-1 figure. She looks so tiny and adorable next to my power of the primes Elita-1. I'm so glad she's getting so many figures (I even had to pick up the earthspark toy just to add to the collection) and I hope she'll be just as prominent a character as optimus in transformers media. the design isnt necessarily bad but i think the problem is that its wheeljack, its just like DoTM again

thinking about it, if you wanted to give her a more accurate isometric design you could probably swap a couple parts from other transformers to make he look more like her cyberverse design, maybe one of Windblades legs and an arm from legacy arcee. completely ruining the almode or even just giving her an asymmetric repaint.

Clicked on this video because the thumbnail made me laugh, stayed for the great review. Since Axelgrease can split apart to because armor for other characters I feel like using her to add parts to this toy would be super cool. They look great next to each other already as you point out, but I think Axelgrease's parts would make Shadow Striker resemble her patched-together look from Cyberverse!

Bludgeon scares me more than Tarn. It's mostly the sword and the endless pools of blood red eyes and the gaping maw of a forever-unmoving skull mask, threatening to swallow you whole, if the sword doesn't get to you first 💀

Great review. I really wanted to like this version, but it just doesn't say "samurai" enough for me. I think it needs more armor on the lower half.
