    That'd be hilarious if the entire process was for the sole purpose of the tiny cut-offs, at 11:40. 😂

      J P yeah so they can do to them what they do to everyone; *impose their 80% unnecessary, production hindering, non-cost effective demands* [except for them via fines due to their trumped up infractions]. They came to our plant and *literally made it impossible for us to do our jobs.* Had it not been for his supervisors common sense, we'd have been rendered unable to operate like every flexographic printing company has operated since its inception.

      How do you know they don't have them on to begin with? This is on the other side of the world and since less machinery and more manual labor is involved. Communication between the team members is crucial in preventing deaths and increasing production. Everyone knows a dude stuck in the conveyor stops production which equals loss of revenue. Not sure they're too keen on lawsuits or the ability to hear sound. Lol. You gotta take one for the team. Still though, I hear 👂 what you're saying. Lol

    cant believe those giant possibly ancient trees have been reduced to 1in by 1in twigs, couldnt you produce the same product from a much slimmer fast growing renewable source, such as pine, and save the massive lumps for larger planks at the very least, better still leave the anciernt woodland alone and grow your own wood like we do here in the uk, mind you thats probably only because we already chopped down all of our ancient woodland centuries ago, theirs absolutely no reason for choppjng down large slow growing trees for any reason since we have a thing called glue, and we can make our own timber from any size tree, like them giant trusses you see from laminated wood, really pains me to see those beauties reduced to nothing, all of your product will be rotted out in about a year, so those entire trees will be nought but chipboard soon, probably already is, by the time is saw this video,already gone, shame

    Notice that these workers don't talk? They only concentrate on the work they are doing, that's a huge safety factor which we don't use in the West, where much of the safety has to be done for us because the individual is no longer responsable for himself, in many facets of our behavior. We also have a legal system where the "lawyer industry" is provided great opportunities to transfer great amounts of money by cleverly arguing who carries the responsibility of safety. No big deal, I guess, the wealth is just being shuffled around from one sector to another via the legal system and this is deemed normal, in our times.

    • @salv434
      @salv434 4 роки тому

      rcalzadilla Disagree i only see the workers at 11:20 or so not speaking. Unlike modern western and European lumber mills which really only require a human loading the logs onto a conveyor belt to begin the process and one person operating the initial cut after debark. This operation requires both machinery and a large part on manual labor. The men throughout the video are constantly communicating. The Ladies separating the wood at around 11:20 might just be a little shy as I'm sure they're aware the camera is rolling and the boss is watching. No way to your point. Most people can hold a conversation and do several things at once. Accidents will happen, but it doesn't appear any one in this video gives a shit.

    What country was this video produced in, is it in Japan or China, quite a large lumber operation. The wood looks like it is from South America.

    Fascinating, but I can't help but wonder whether this is sustainable. Those are some pretty massive logs. Where did they come from and how many are left?

  • @Tailss1
    @Tailss1 4 роки тому

    Trees this size are becoming extinct. 9:50 This is a huge waste using timber of this size to make lumber that small. Much smaller trees grown renewably could be used instead. Communism doesn't let people think for themselves.
