A brief overview of the new Nest Thermostat. A great new addition to the Nest/Google lineup.
Do NOT charge Bosch by subcool. We were originally doing that but found that systems with a short lineset run would sometimes need over 4 pounds of refrigerant in order to get the subcool listed in the install manual, even systems with less than a 50 foot line set. We then learned from our supplier, Johnstone that we should be adding based on line set length and not using the subcool method of charging the systems because it is not accurate on a Bosch. And yes, we were pushing the force button and allowing the time for the system to get up to 100% operational capacity. Tech Support said that subcool should only be used for diagnostics purposes on these systems, never to verify proper charge.

Been installing Bosch IDS systems for 5+ years, absolutely love them. We have had zero failures, or breakages. Only issues encountered have been 1 using Arzel zoning, not sure about other zone systems, but with Arzel there is a dip switch setting that if not done leads to erratic behavior. We had that on a system, but once confirmed by Arzel tech support, we corrected and system has been perfect since. 2 we had several Bosch systems not working correctly using Bosch BCC100 thermostats, once we realized that they sometimes need a firmware update we have had zero issues since. Of all the Bosch systems we have installed, it has been roughlt 70% duel fuel vs. strait HP, we are in a heavy gas usage area. I love them!

How often the pigs need to be replaced? And will this eliminate the use of rx11?
@@erair5416 pigs can be reused until you feel they are no longer in good enough condition. You can use without flush, but it works the best with flush. But you need much less. Only a few ounces vs a whole can. Check out the Diversitech Pro flush. Comes in a non pressurized can.

Not worth the cost ! Is heavy to carry and not strong enough when not connected to power And is not durable !
Failed after 13 months (1 month out of warranty) no pressure. Sent in to be looked at. I had to pay for shipping and $125 in advance for them just to diagnose the fault. Really disappointed for it to already need work and such a short warranty period. I'm guessing its the pump which is a $600 replacement cost! Do not buy!!

Runtime will depend. Should last enough to do 4-5 units. Standard pressure washer connections and yes there are extension and accessories are available

No attachment for 1 1/8 ? I've seen the pigs for sale but is there a nozzle required as well or can use 7/8 nozzle then a reducer on 1 1/8 ?
We've heard there is a 1 1/8 attachment coming for the existing unit. If the pigs are already out there we must be close to getting it. This video was posted over a year ago when the tool was launched.

Can you manufacture this in Malaysia so that its price is purchaseable? The price is almost 10x more than a common water jet in Malaysia. This unit is about rm4K while common water jet is rm4 hundred.
What if the lineset is 100 feet long
No problem. If you need more "umph" you can increase your pressure.

That is going to depend on your unit and condition. Sorry can't recommend a specific product.
This technology may be new to the air-conditioning and refrigeration Industry but it’s been around well over a century in the oil and gas industry. The very first pigs were made of straw, barbwire & leather and when they sent it through the Pipeline it would make squealing pig sound & The name stuck ever since. Your tool is definitely the best I’ve seen so far in the air conditioning and refrigeration Industry. I would like to see it blow past a kink or obstruction further down the line ,say 50 or 75 feet . Of course it’s best to get the kink or obstruction corrected but sometimes they’re not visible so that’s why I’d like your test made with the kink further away . Definitely looks like you have a good product and I’m looking forward to making some test with it. Regards from St. Louis and go Cardinals⚾️
Great comment! And yes we've heard that from folks before that are/were in those industries. Not a new concept, newer to HVAC/R for sure but it works really well.
Bought this tool to actually test four hidden kinks in linesets. What happens if you use lower pressure. I think it would be neat to actually have something similar to test hidden linesets for kinks
It actually could be used for that as it is. Lower pressure would help.

Absolutely will
There should be an adjustment for the water pressure because if the pressure is too high it will damage the coil.
Don't you worry this machine does not have enough juice to do damage to a fly 😂
It only goes up to 125 PSI for that reason. Also you can just stay farther way from the coil to reduce pressure if needed.
I'd like to see the fly that could stand up to 125 PSI...... actually now that i think about i don't think i would like to see that fly!
What about the kink being 50' down from the gun?
Shouldn’t matter. Also if you have a kink that bad anywhere in the lineset you’ve got bigger problems.
You can just buy the pigs as they call it, and just use 4300-51 Flush Gun and do the exact same thing.
Won't work the same. That doesn't provide enough pressure to push pig through

@@wd8557 give it a shot and let us know. Problems we see with that working: Must keep the nose cone sealed by manual force, it not you won't have enough pressure. HLC007 clamps. The diameter of the tip on the 4300-51 is much smaller, again not allowing the same airflow as the HLC007 which would be the diameter of the the pipe.
Really well thought out tool that does what it says it does.
