My NEW Colony of Ants!

In this video, I will be showing you my new ant colony
Yeah bro nice. I caught a camponatus queen several weeks ago and myrmica coming today 😊
Good luck!
2:30 wow, that is an INSANE brood pile! My Camponotus Discolor has 2 nanitics but only 3 larvae likely turning into pupae in the coming week, I couldn't imagine having that many eggs! how long did it take for your solonopsis to reach that colony size?
It took my Fire Ants about 7 weeks to reach this size. The reason Camponotus colonies grow slower is because their queens lay in batches, and not around the clock. Good luck with the ants!
8 views in 1 hohr bro fell off😭😭😭
Just wait ;)
wow
I am currently keeping several Iridomyrmex Purpureus colonies as well as a funnel ant colony as well as a big headed and colony, great job with the fire ants!
Thanks! Good luck with your ants!
I think one of the queens in the fire a t colony is u fertilized
HOLD ON IS UR NAME A COPY OF ANTSCANADA
No like me a lot of ant UA-camrs young and old like to put ants in there name to show they are an ant keeper
where did you buy it?
Ebay
@@Antsusa377 how much?
I grew my largest Lasius Niger colony this way, they started with 4 queens, and now almost a year later, there is only 1 queen.
@@Finley-xb1ht Nice!
it is because a fire ant colony only accepts 1 queen
It's pretty common for Fire ant colonies to have multiple queens
This really is the USA
Yo hold on fire ants ain't multi queen my fire ant colony has 4 queens 56 workers I think and none of the queens died and all are desame species as your colony
Did u raise them from captures queens or did u get them as an established colony?
cool! can't wait for new vids
Less productive or was not fertile are the most probable reasons. The telling fact will be when they are down to the last queen. Will they keep her alive or kill her also.
They would not kill the last queen
@@Antsusa377 Oh yes they some times do. For no other reason than they are in kill mode after the first 5 they put down. Takes a bit for all of them to realize this is the last queen.... Some times they self exterminate as a colony this way. I hope not but they are able to do it.
Brutal
13:03 wth happened to the queens gaster
Idk she it was like that when I got them
@@Antsusa377 oh alr fair enough
im getting fire ants in 3/2 days ( 1st of july ) thats teh day im ginna order them
Nice! Keep watching these videos for tips on their care!
@@Antsusa377 I will make sure to watch all your videos on their care 😁
Thank you!
@@Antsusa377 No problem 😁
Bruh you’ll have a colony with 100 000 ants in a year lol😂
true, i dont think he realises what he created lmao
That's what I'm hoping for!
Lol
@@Antsusa377 i think they will kill the other queens and let 1 live
@@nyle_granger1629 I also think that
2:38 u couldnt clean the second colony??
That was the same colony the week before, and the test tube didn't need to be cleaned.
A polygynous fire ant colony? Thats gonna grow fast and be a cool watch, but be careful bro that could destroy your ecosystem if they got out 😂
They are already one of the most common ants in my area 😆
setup could be better, use a thin layer of dry sand/dirt
I have already changed it, video still in the making!
Wow. I have always dreamed of getting fire ants!
They are pretty widespread in the Unites States, the only challenge is escape prevention and their food demand!
Trust me don’t I have a colony of fires it’s terrible
@@GreysonLambert-sy7pt just cuz u suck at maintaining them doesnt mean others shouldent get them

You should sell nests
I was thinking about it...
@@Antsusa377it’s a great idea I would definitely buy one
@@Mr.idk.idc190 I'm currently developing other nests, outworlds, and starter kits and then I might sell them.
@@Antsusa377 can you make them reasonably priced?
@@sarahgilleeny2903 If I end up selling them, which is unlikely, they will be $24.99
Nice video,love your channel already!
