Those are some very nice slabs!!! Were you fishing open water? or a channel ? or what ?
@@ppdrawings This was timber in open water. Appreciate you watching.
This is such a great channel, I love the way you share your knowledge….and those are some toads you are catching!😮
@@lureup9973 Appreciate the support! Thanks!
What's your process for finding the fish first? Are these known brushpiles or were you scanning and found them? Do you identify fish with 2d or sidescan before looking with the scope? Amazing size fish!
@@cglarsen26 Process is spending time on the water and learning habits. Side scan to locate brush piles and cover and schools. Eliminating certain water based on water temp and time of year. Finding bait fish. Then scope. Thanks for watching!
I fish the Roanoke Rapids Lake the lake below Lake Gaston Those are nice lakes.
@@solomonott633 Gotcha. Yep. Good lakes. 🎣🎣
What lake or lakes are you fishing.Very good vid keep them coming.
@@solomonott633 Jordan, Harris, Falls. Appreciate you watching!

@@fishinmagician1969 Never caught real fish on a video game.
What number split shot weight is that you use ? # 2 or #3 ?
@@Bowhunter4life This is a #5. I'll use anywhere from 3/0 to 7 or a 5. Thanks so much for watching!
Great content and big fish, stay SAFE 👌

Great job again! I just ordered some 8mm red beads to try. I like the idea of not adding more weight to jig. Keep up the good work! CC in TN.

Do you pin your bead to the line what keeps it from sliding up the line. Great video...
@@Sawdust-r9y I just loop it through the bead once. That allows me to easily move it up or down the line. Thanks so much for watching!
I've watched them following a long way while drifting jigs. Good stuff!

Hello ! You have answers everybody comments but Timothy 👍
@@timothythomas3820 No worries. I got you!
You are very skilled at casting to the target and keeping the transponder lined up with the lure and fish on the screen, all while narrating what's going on. Excellent multi-tasking!

Good afternoon ! Crappie moment. Please give me your three best colors of the bobby garland 2” baby shad for light stain / muddy water and please give me your three best colors bobby garland 2” baby shad of a minnow patterns please. I will be doing nothing but casting from the bank only and which size jig heads you would recommend me to buy only 1.1/16 oz are 1/8 oz . I've switched to 1/32nd head with Garland Itty Bitty jigs, been catching more of those ones that just look at it
@@elkbow That's right. Always make adjustments!
@@crappiemoment I also mostly use 14' or 18' pole, works better when those crappie are spooky. My fishing here in reservoirs is much different than where you fish.
@@elkbow Long pole definitely helps with spooky fish. I have a 14' I use but mostly in super shallow water.
What if you change colors
Yet it appears on e you caught 1 it turned on the bite.
@@randyetheredge6157 Yep. Did that several times. Not sure if I got footage. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it doesn't. Thanks for watching!
So appreciate the hard work that goes into making these quality videos….I wonder if you have ever night fished for crappies using Livescope
@@lureup9973 Thanks so much! Haven't been night fishing with Livescope... might give it a try sometime.
Man your cast accuracy is so on point. I really need to dial my live scope handle in. I have so much trouble finding my bait in the water. By the time I finally find it, it's already past the fish. I'm going to order me some beads for the next time I get back on the water. Good stuff man, keep it up!! loving the livescope footage.

Fellow North Carolinian from Indian Trail that really enjoys watching your short, informative videos. Who manufactured your Livescope transducer pole? I have my LVS34 on the trolling motor shaft. Why did you decide to use a separate pole? Maybe I need to do the same?
@@chriswatson5730 Welcome from the home state! The pole is a See Lite pole. Using a separate pole because the trolling motor is often moving in other directions than where I'm targeting (especially when using spot lock) and I can search other areas. Appreciate the support! 🎣
where do you get beads? and no bobber stops with them?

It would be nice for you to break down how you locate the the fish. I get that livescope fishing is fun, but doesn't make it interesting just to see you catching fish..I need help understanding how crappies move throughout my the year..I'm in ohio.
@@spotweld I shared tips in this video on how crappie move in September. Check out Crappie Movements Explained on my channel as well. Water Temp dictates crappie movement. Spending time on the water and scanning (side scan) helps to learn where crappie are on any given body of water. Crappie love weed edges, brush piles, standing timber, and bridge pilings. It provides cover and protection. Scan for brush piles and any type of cover. Where to best scan will depend on body of water and time of year. Right now For most people it's probably 15-20 feet. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching!
Hi - more of a bass guy. What’s the purpose of the beads? And is the split shot helping you get down there faster without impacting the jig movement? Meaning, is that preferable to a heavier jig head?
@@mikeMetcalf77 The bead simply helps it to show up on Livescope better without adding any weight. Split helps the jig to get down faster. Personal preference to a heavier jig. Easier to remove. Thanks so much for watching!
nice work
