Škoda Kodiaq 2019 - broken driver door pull handle
Škoda stats cutting corners badly and did a door pull handle that breaks so easily because of such as bad engineering that is now dictated by those who strive to save money over quality. I'm disappointed that this handle was made with such cheap and rubbish plastics that break so easily knowing these parts do require to withstand some forces i.e. wear and tear. I have had different cars and even a lot cheaper Seat Leon's from the same year has more robust parts than this premium Škoda's SUV. It's really all going the wrong direction these days.

Vokera Compact 28: green & amber light flashing with CH on and off

Hi, I'll try to be as descriptive as possible. The main PCB was replaced for a brand new one about a year ago so was the ignition PCB. I've also tested two other spare ignition PCBs just to rule out this problem. THE PROBLEM When the boiler is turned on with selector set to either "central heating (CH) domestic hot water DHW" or "Off/Reset" it flashes: 2 x green 3 x amber then on average 11 x g...

    Hey, how did you solve this issue or did you replace the amp. I don't have the crackling but do have a weaker side with my PMA720ae running Monitor Audio like you and was looking at replacing the amp having checked right through, with either your model or the PMA1700.

      Sorry, can't remember what was the outcome. I have two identical amps and speaker sets but one is still in boxes but I think the problem was caused by bad cables.

    I have pretty much all spare parts for both Compact 24 and 28. The first thing I'd start off is replacing the cheaper ignition PCB and only then investigate other parts such as disconnecting from power the main PCB. I did not find the root cause but when replaced the main PCB with a new one that was Dead-On-Arrival I was forced to reinstall the old one. With the old one reconnected the boiler started working fine and after over two years is still working with no issues - fingers crossed!

      Unfortunately, there's no obvious solution. There was a guy who did a PAT test and the boiler stopped working. I had spare PCBs and first replaced the ignition as it was the easiest. This didn't help so I then replaced the main PCB. It turned out the brand new PCB was dead on arrival so nothing worked and I had to put the old PCB back in. Once I done it the boiler started working fine and there's been no issues since. We told a guy that was doing PAT tests this year to completely unplug the boiler so it doesn't happen again and after he was done and plug the boiler back in it's working fine. It didn't make any sense as we were unplugging the boiler from power many times but I would suggest to cut the power to the boiler and unplug / replug all cables to main PCB. Make sure you know what you're doing or get a qualified electrician / boiler installer to do it for you.

    • @anylookup

      Hi, Unfortunately I didn't find the root cause but fixed it by completely taking out PCB and reconnected it. I only found out after replacing the PCB with a new one that was Dead-On-Arrival and had to put the old one back in. As soon as I did it the boiler started behaving normal. One thing to mention - the problem started right after a PAT test guys finished testing circuits. I can't prove it but he might have sent some sort of signal to the boiler that messed it up. Switching it off and back on didn't help although if you don't fancy touching electrics/electronics I'd cut it off from the mains power for longer period (1-2 days) as capacitors can still store enough electricity before the PCB completely turns off. Ensure you know what you're doing or get a qualified electrician/boiler guys and ALWAYS cut off power! Good luck! BTW - the boiler has been working fine since.

      Hi, The back black plastic housing attached by screws to the red pump in front had a hole (not sure how it was possible for such a thick plastic to have a whole in the back like someone literally put through it a sharp screw driver) where a floating air vent is screwed in (www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOKERA-COMPACT-24-28-AUTO-AIR-VENT-TOP-AAV-R0439-0439-FREE-POST-/172079582111 or heatingpartswarehouse.co.uk/product/vokera-air-vent-float-0439/). You will only see it once you disassemble and take the pump assembly out from the boiler. In order to fix the leak I had to search and buy another full assembly pump (couldn't find just the plastic part) with the black plastic back part (got one for about £50 with a silver pump but the back fitted mine so just replaced the broken one). I disassembled the pump as well as all plastic and brass components (never touch anything from GAS) to give all parts a good clean as they were really dirty inside. In the pump found a lot of debris that also caused noise when it kicked in. They are from water heat exchange pipes connected on the outside left hand side of the boiler (over time they collect large pieces or sort of carbon that breaks off from the pipes and get inside the pump - I replaced both silver heat exchange pipes as well as they were full of carbon deposits waiting to break off - just hit the pipe and you'll see a lot of them falling out). Search on ebay for your boiler's heat exchanger pipes - mine were: VOKERA COMPACT 24 & SABRE 24 FLEXIBLE PIPE 10022000 VOKERA COMPACT 24 & SABRE 24 BOILER FLEXIBLE PIPE FOR HEAT EXCHANGER 10022002 This is a Compact 24SE manual which is similar to mine to give you an idea what part am talking about: www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjQzsLupfzrAhUVsHEKHeLXAKkQFjAAegQIBhAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vokera.co.uk%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2011%2F12%2Fcompact-24se-user-and-installation-manuals.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0eV96e6XPpPNrt5jB3B2KL 6.5 PUMP ASSEMBLY (fig. 23) Carry out component removal procedure as described in 6.4. Disconnect and remove the pump outlet pipe (A) from the pump assembly/combustion chamber connection. Remove the expansion pipe locking pin from the top of the pump assembly and withdraw the flexible pipe. Locate and remove the pressure gauge securing pin and disconnect the pressure gauge from the pump assembly. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the pump’s electrical connection point. Locate and remove the 2 securing screws (E) at the rear of the pump assembly. Remove locking pin (F) from pump base and lift pump assembly clear of the hydraulic manifold. The pump assembly can now be removed from the appliance. Replace carefully in the reverse order. 6.6 SAFETY VALVE (fig. 24) Carry out component removal procedure as described in 6.4. Disconnect the outlet pipe from the safety valve, remove safety valve locking pin (H) from the hydraulic manifold. Replace in the reverse order. 6.7 LOWER AUTOMATIC AIR RELEASE VALVE (fig. 23) Carry out component removal procedure as described in 6.4. Remove the expansion pipe locking pin from the pump assembly and remove the expansion pipe. Locate and remove the AAV locking pin (I) from the pump assembly and remove the AAV assembly (J). Replace in the reverse order. I hope the above helps. You might find your problem is with an o-ring or air vent part - take it apart and inspect throughly to find out. Make sure your boiler is disconnected from the mains / electricity and disconnect water supply. I'd cut off GAS as well just in case.

    Seafoam won't make the bike smoke when added to the gas tank. When put into the gas tank it cleans any buildup in the injectors and takes the moisture of of your gas tank. The reason why it is choking is because it's affecting the AFR on your bike and will continue to do so until you finish that tank of gas. In order to clean carbon build up in the intake, valves, and exhaust you need to run seafoam through a main vaccum line that feeds air to the engine through the intake.

    This is just the Solar sensor. Currently am experiencing these problems with Davis Pro 2 Plus (upgraded): 1) My anemometer stopped working beginning of July 12 when I was away i.e. there was no data passed onto the console.

  • @anylookup
    @anylookup 12 років тому

    I climbed up my roof to unscrew the anemometer and gave it a blow with my mouth. It started working again! I have lost about a month of crucial for me wind data ;/ 2) I took my station down for about 3 days to do yearly maintenance and pole upgrade from 2m to 6m height. I looked closely at the anemometer cups magnet and it appears to be a little corroded on at the ends of it but not in the middle.

  • @anylookup
    @anylookup 12 років тому

    I wrote to Davis support who replied to contact local dealer but we have none in Poland hence advised to replace it. It didn't even last 10 months so am reluctant to do that now as the product is weak. 3) After taking down my station I had put my console into service mode so there is no bad data passed onto receivers. I didn't touch my WeatherLinkIP datalogger at all not any other settings.

  • @anylookup
    @anylookup 12 років тому

    As soon as my station was down I checked the weatherunderground com (WU) site where it still appeared as "Active". I checked over the next three days while I was working on it and it remained active. On the day it was set back live the status changed to a red "No" and remains like this until now. I checked two other sited that are fed with data and they are working fine and receiving.

  • @anylookup
    @anylookup 12 років тому

    Therefore, have logged 5 tickets in total with WU support (they were doing some work on their ticketing system and ignored previous 4 - didn't even let customers know it was happening so was waiting for nearly 2 weeks for their reply) asking why is this happening and "No Data" is showing for my console/datalogger reports on their site when it's feeding correctly others. I explained all in details and this is what I got back:
