Orcas under my boat
Went fishing a couple of days ago and ran into a pod of Orcas on my way out to Flat Island. Fished for a few hours and came back a slightly different route to avoid the area where I saw the Orcas earlier only to meet up with them again off Hegseth island.

The Canadian border is about 600 miles north of Homer Alaska, so think of it this way, to ride out of Alaska I have to ride 600 miles and 600 miles back south in Canada just to be at the same latitude that I started from! The temperatures were moderate in the upper 40's to lows in the mid 30's. The ride offers phenomenal views of the Matanuska Glacier the St. Elias mountain range and sometimes ...

    I love the Honda spray. Living in the desert with very little rainfall it works perfect to clean my bike after every ride no water washing/waxing needed.

    Thank you for making this video, Randall. I'm a subscriber and, as a fellow GW owner ('24 6-speed Bagger), am grateful for your content. So, of course I went to Amazon and read the reviews for the Maxima SC1. They're unbelievably great reviews, although the few negative reviews talked about defective nozzles (no biggie...luck of the draw), many mentioned that it causes dirt, bugs, etc. to stick to the point where it's hard to remove. One H-D owner even claimed it peeled his paint. The H-D could be a fluke, but before I buy, I wanted to ask if you've experienced any of the stickiness issues other reviewers claim? Thank you again.

    I've got a 23 Goldwing. I am retired I wanna do this too. Only with me it would be north east where i live to south west. Bucket list stuff. I also use the same stuff to clean and polish my bike. Nothing quite like Hondas own polish.

    The Honda gold wing is the highest quality motorcycle on planet earth, you could literally tour the entire globe with no issues. The best mathematics went into the engineering of the gold wing engine is incredible. I own a 1986 Honda gold wing interstate GL1200. Best motorcycle I ever bought. Best machine I ever owned period.

      I agree! I traded my 2017 ultra limited in on the goldwing. I loved the ultra too, just wanted something different and really like the looks of the wing. This summer while riding I considered trading it for an Indian or a road glide, but for several reasons I couldn’t. First I hated the idea of being halfway through a 15000 mile ride. Only to have to stop after a day to have the first service done, and the expense of that along with the hassle of scheduling the service. Then the list went on from belt drive maintenance no xm radio on the Indian, no heated seat on the Harley etc etc the short list goes on. I would own all three and throw in a hayabusa while at it but alas my pockets are shallow and I can have one bike and as you mentioned do well it is the best bike in the universe!

    Does your goldwing have a ticking sound on the right side?

    • @SpedtravelsAk
      @SpedtravelsAk 4 місяці тому

      Not really I haven’t heard a ticking sound. I do hear odd sounds occasionally. Now the sound is something like rubber squeaking from the top of the steering head when I turn the handlebars. Sometimes I can hear a hissing noise down in the engine when it’s running, sounds like air rushing through the air box of an old fzr1000 I once owned. Could be air being sucked through the filter.

    • @SpedtravelsAk
      @SpedtravelsAk 4 місяці тому

      If you have a a ticking noise is it a valve tick maybe? Does it go away when riding or more pronounced? I have heard of people having the tick but can’t remember the fix.
