Приєднався 26 лип 2013
The Memory Box® is a digital archive designed to collect and share personal stories about the past from around the world. It is currently available to download on your iPad and iPhone.
We're working on a bunch of online tools that will enable you and your family to tell and publish your own story to the Memory Box platform, contributing to the worldwide archive, or sharing privately with your friends and family. Professional tools enabling cultural organisations and schools to capture and publish stories that bring memories and events to life are also in development.

Love to know if ya have any photos of W. Robisons Bookshop :) I worked there for a few years & would love to see any photos of staff just to see my old workmates around the 1970's Cheers
I worked in Dewhurst the Butchers in Nun Street. Just outside. From 1970 until 1973 as a Saturday boy. Sid Nichol was the manager. ( Fantastic Man ) Weekend it was packed. Even before Corvid 19 it's like a ghost town. Sad to see it like that. Best years of my life spent there.
What a lovely story Joan. I spent many happy boyhood hours trainspotting at Heaton station in the early 60s. Happy days indeed.
Good one Jack!
What a lovely video. Great to hear narration from Jean herself. Really brings the subject to life!
Awwww. What a lovely lady. xx
Very interesting. The area has certainly changed.
Incredible info and story.
Great to hear your memories of the very first GNR! It's amazing to see what is has now become! I watched it as a kid when I lived in Kent and never thought in a million years that I would run it. Now live in the north and run it every year. Thanks for sharing your memories of that day! :)
i loved the grainger market . it was a real market . great place . they may have cleaned it up and made it a lot more posh but its killed the atmosphere. so sad .
Hi Dave. The bloke your talking about is my great grandad.... I'd love a copy of your novel for my grandad. Could you tell me where I could get a copy please?
Type in. 6 until midnight. It's a video of some scenes in the market. Taken in 1972.
I started as a butcher boy it Dewhursts in Nun Street just outside the market in 1972. Great area some real characters in and around the market
