    I hope I will find a time suitable to view this, but the quiet evenings are not it, because 'yall are yelling over (and without) music.

    Interesting this miller doesn’t use a damsel in this mill to agitate the shoe during operation. Hope he continues to use very clean grain so the grain flow from the shoe continues to flow evenly giving a good consistent final product. Good luck there and best in the future.

    Tears ago you could find wooden nickels at the Sudbury general store, that Mr. Swanson owned, on Rt. 20 by the Sudbury/Marlboro town line.

    Please read your bibles. Those that come to this church I encourage you to open your Bible and test every spirit claiming to come from God. Test these “ teachers” are they really teaching Gods Holy word? It’s time to come out of your lukewarm state and seek God for yourselves. A lot of false teachers and preachers are out here deceiving and leading the sheep to the slaughter. Even Jesus says his people perish for lack of knowledge. Don’t be one of those people. Don’t fall for these doctrines of devils! Satan is out here doing everything he can to steal,kill, and destroy Gods children. Open your bibles and read for yourselves. Seek God and ask him questions. Ask him to reveal the truth to you. Time is very short. Jesus Christ could come at any moment. We must be ready for his return. We must have discernment and wisdom in these last days. Do you go to church once a week and then go straight back to your sin like a dog returns to its vomit or are you trying to live a holy life and pick up your cross daily and follow Jesus? It’s about relationship with Jesus not religion. Please don’t even listen to me. Take everything to God. Ask the Holy Spirit for help. Make sure everything lines up with the word of God. Wake up church! The king is coming!

    Please show us the Henry ford knife gifted to one of the children of the builders of the water mill. It was mentioned by another channel. It was returned to the mill once the owner had passed on.

    Note the brass scoop, previously they were made of wood. No sparks because of all the dust in the mill. I saw no cats.

    Oh Yeah! This channel is great. His mill is almost as old as my Home Comfort (1917) wood cook stove. Ya gotta love the old stuff. No batteries, or micro chips, or plastic just a piece of equipment that works every time

    Great to see draft animals in the forest. But there is a better way to harness oxen: Instead of the cumbersome ancient yoke there is the three piece ma-friely German cattle harness, portrayed in the Small Farmer's Journal in the 1990s.

    • @TMHarrigan
      @TMHarrigan 2 роки тому

      Perhaps, but most folks practicing serious logging with oxen question the durability to withstand the stress of the work involved. The New England style yoke evolved in the working conditions applied. It is durable, inexpensive, easy to build, and comfortable for animals.

      @klauskarbaumer6302 2 роки тому

      @@TMHarrigan I meant to write "animal-friendly". Studies by Bavarian agricultural scientists say, that the three piece leather harness including a cattle collar enables the animals to pull bigger loads over longer distances . For one thing, there is no chafing involved. Wooden yokes , of course, are cheaper, but cumbersome

    The mill was old fashioned but the bakery was not at all. I was expecting a wood fired oven and so on. Fun to watch anyways. 😀

    I remember visiting my Mom's aunts and uncles in 1959 on their farms in Illinois. They ground their own wheat and corn, milked their cows, and churned their own butter back then. Cooking oil was rendered from the slaughtered livestock. About the only things bought in from commercial producers were salt, sugar and a few misc. items. Water was hand-pumped up from shallow wells wherever it was needed. There were even hand pumps on the sink boards. Some didn't even have electricity. When it got dark, you went to bed. Fresh from the field corn, potatoes, corn muffins, still warm eggs, and still warm milk, and fried chicken that had been butchered just an hour prior. It was sooooo good! Today, we've traded outstanding quality and flavor for efficiency and the economy of scale. Are we better off with the engineered pap that passes for food today?

      I think the increase in Cancer and heart attack and all the funny sicknesses plaguing humanity show how far we have strayed from a healthy and nourishing diet. Genetically modified and highly processed foods are poison to the human body, now we have to contend with the damage 5G is going to cause.
