Are CDs still worth buying in 2024?
CDs as a way to listen to music have been around since 1982, but are they still worth buying in 2024?
Let me give you a little insight on my CD collection and why I still buy them.

Marshall Regenerator and Vibratrem 20 years later
Переглядів 16514 днів тому
These are the Marshall Regenerator and the Marshall Vibratrem. Two of three modulation pedals, which Marshall released in the early 2000s. Let's see what they've got! I'm playing my Squier Stratocaster into a Behringer V-Tone gmx 1200h amplifier and a Harley Benton 1x12 Cab with Celstion V30 speaker.
Let's talk about Behringer Centaur | Trump Guitars | Fender Hello Kitty
Переглядів 2,6 тис.21 день тому
What is going on in the Guitarworld? Let's talk about it. So Donald Trump apparently stepped into the guitar game. There are signature guitars that look like Gibson Guitars for $1500 and $11500 for one with an autograph. And they're already sold out. Fender reissued the Hello Kitty Stratocaster. A pink Strat with only one humbucker. You can get a Fender and a Squier model. Behringer is going wi...
Let's check out the Marshall the Guvnor Pedal

This is the Guvnor by Marshall. Released in 1988. Luckily, there is a reissue series of those classic pedals. The Guvnor is best known to be used by Gary Moore, but of course, many other players have used it. I'm trying to make it sound as Rock n Roll as possible. I'm playing my Harley Benton SG with EMG pickups into a Behringer V-Tone gmx 1200h amplifier And a Roland JC-22 Jazz Chorus.
Zakk Wyldes special tool | MXR Wylde Phase

This is the MXR Wylde Phase. A 4 stage analog Phase 90 with Zakk Wylde looking paint job. It does all sorts of cool stuff, like eddie van halens eruption and much more. I'm using an Epiphone Explorer through my Behringer V-Tone gmx 1200h amplifier and a Harley Benton 1x12 Cab with Celstion V30 speaker.
Testing the Boss PW-10 V Wah Pedal 20 Years later
Переглядів 552Місяць тому
This is the Boss V Wah PW-10, an early 2000s modeling Wah Pedal. It emulated 6 different Wah Pedals as well as different distortions like the Guvnor and Metal Zone. I'm playing a Harley Benton SG with EMG pickups tuned down to C standard My distortion comes from the Marshall Shredmaster boosted by a MXR Zakk Wylde overdrive. I'm using my Behringer V-Tone gmx 1200h amplifier and a Harley Benton ...

Zoom g2.1u Chorus = Boss CE-2 Chorus ? [viewer question]
I have one of these. It's awesome. Easily keeps up with my drummer with the volume not even at half! Not only that, it sounds great, too! I love that I can use it for gigs if I need to because it's small and lightweight, and it's crazy how good it is for a small 35 watt amp. I showed up to a gig with it once and surprised one of the other musicians when I showed what it could do. When we played another show with them a few months later, he had one with him. This thing is a beast.
you're a good man, and thank you for solving my dilemma, cheers.
Thanks man. I'm glad I could help. Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
Is The BEST wha pedal to me , great sounding and really versatile. Boss made a musical instrument.
thanks for the update reveiw.
My pleasure. Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
"Trump" and "patriotism" in the same sentence! oh my days lol It's just a tactic to the villain. Just keep him over there.
Hey man, I said the guitars are patriotic af, the design. I don't know about him. He's not my president. I don't even live in the US. I'm german 😅 I couldn't care less, I just think the guitars are a massive cash grab that's all. Thanks for watching 🤝🏻
Honestly it sounds awful
Absolutely, 100%. Always have and probably always will for as long as the media is still manufactured. Superior to literally every other format I've tried other than uncompressed flac. Sadly it seems like my hifi is on it's way out. (temperamental disk changer tray, sometimes laser refuses to read discs despite repeated cleaning and tweaking focal length etc, and often doesn't work at all unless I power down clear caps and restart... :( New Hi-fi's seem to only fall into the two categories of cheap crap, or overpriced "audiophile grade" gimmicky crap.
I agree 💯 Mine too, I'm afraid. Same problem, laser refuses to read. But it's quite old, maybe it's time for a new one. Anyway, thanks for watching 🫡
THis year I bought a low milage garage kept 2000 Acura Tl and it has a working CD player and a cassette player so I have been buying old CDs and cassettes I owned in the 80s LOL.
That's cool! I used to have a cassette player but had only 2 cassettes and was too lazy to start collecting cassette tapes. But it's definitely a cool thing to have.
I still buy CDs - I rip them to a media server for my own consumption. It’s basically my personal Spotify, full of only the music I want to listen to with all my playlists and all the old, obscure singles and B sides that would be impossible to find on streaming services.
although i have picked up cds at thrift and garage sales all along, i have recently up it since local record store opened a few years back. have found many gems ... some on the fringes of what i like , and acasionally curius about. I def love having cds better than any other medium.
The grunge by itself basically like the mt2 with eq
I agree 💯
I was using a modified one with a compressor for leads like a 2 channel amp
@Theansilgregoryshow niiiice!
I like it rough 🤘😉
Melvins sound
You gotta turn the tone way further down to make it sound very dead and have that twang that he has
Okay I'll try 🤝🏻
literally me from 1997-2016
They all sound like tires on a dirt road
🤣
Very nice and for mist people in the audience it would work. I still prefer the wah pedal. You obviously have a great ear
Thanks 🫡 yeah it sounds more accurate with the wah pedal, but the EQ will also work, I guess 🤔
Grunge sounds better without eq but the Metal zone sounds better with eq.
Finally some love for the Grunge 🤘🏻
@PedalJunkie I have the grunge pedal and it's definitely not grunge more thrash metal in my opinion.
I'm also convinced that the Grunge and the Deat Metal pedal are the exact same pedals with different paint jobs
@PedalJunkie interesting I never thought that having both pedals. The grunge pedal reminds more of a Marshall type amp while the death metal pedal is like a Randall type amp.
The EQ made it sound so powerful. Straight fire. 🔥
🤘🏻 yeah man, an EQ can work wonders
cool video, nice review and lovely guitar
Thank you very much. :)
The powerful EQ on the metal zone: “am I a joke to you?”
😂 haha I never thought about that. But you're right! It is very powerful on its own.
Nice video 👍 as the only guitar player in my band, this pedal has been on my list for a while now! Just a matter of saving up the cash!
Thanks man, yeah I can relate to your situation. This pedal can be a gamechanger in many situations 🤘🏻
Also plug it into ur fx loop not guitar input.makes a huge difference
Dude it's already in the fx return
MT-2 <3
MT2 + EQ > that other shite
Keep it on with slightly more mid
What are you playing??
LTD EX-50 with James Hetfield EMGs into a Boss RC-3 Loop Station into the pedals. The pedals are going into a Behringer V-Tone gmx 1200h amplifier (an old cheap solid state head) which is connected to a 1x12 Harley Benton Celestion V30 cabinet. The Riff is just random sh!t supposed to sound metal 🤘🏻
Sounds brutal 😂
im getting this Wah
You won't regret this 🤘🏻
Shit was sick, u got any noise gate?
Thanks 🤘🏻 this pedal is fkn amazing. Normally, I use a gate. But on this one I didn't because the amp volume was quite low, and I didn't crank the gain on the metal zone.
Better but the grunge pedal is basically the same thing but better. I would love to see a comparison with eq
No problem! There's a digitech grunge sitting on top of my amplifier collecting dust. I'll do a short comparison. 🤘🏻
@PedalJunkie awesome sauce
Hello kitty is a trendy hype? That character has been around for 40 years and is almost as iconic as mickey mouse....its more than just slash and 40 yr old guys....ps that "hood" impression was very close to racist
You're right. But I wasn't talking about the brand Hello Kitty but the Guitar itself.
@PedalJunkie the brand is part of the appeal .. the guitar is a meme in the UA-cam guitar community but the majority of those original run guitars were sold to parents of young girls. The aftermarket was old dudes.
You love the attitude of beringer to copy. But for trump, no good. lol you’re a complete clown.
Yeah because behringer is not charging $1800 for a chibson guitar with a overly patriotic paint job. 🥳🤡
@@PedalJunkie yeah you should probably let the market determine what will be paid for and not.... you are the guy that hopes big corporations bring lawsuits... you probably like regulation too... a whole rack of companies out there charging top dollar for cheap guitars... fender ring a bell? but we all know you applaud them... your tds is real... your commie behavior is real...
Wild how Gibson continues to sue even though they have no patents and protection. Hopefully Gibson will get the shit kicked out of them just like they did when they went after dean.
Are they made in US ? 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸MAGA 🎸🎸🎸
That's a gooood question. Would be ironic if they'd be made in China 🤔
1:57 OMG LMAO
😂 I HAD to do it
Giving your older stuff some love!
Really nice guitar playing in this video. Great job. Those petals sound really nice. 🤘💎🙏
Thank you, Bro 👊🏼 Yeah, I really like them, but they seem to be forgotten 👀
Used the shredmaster into a jcm900 for this demo in 93. Doom rather than death ua-cam.com/video/bHeJVrX0CUI/v-deo.htmlsi=uujF74H4rHG92ogu
Which song is that in the very beginning?
It's Love Dump by Static X
Hello pedal junkie, I liked your review, but god there are a lot of pedals in the background. The name says it all :D. Greetings from Heinsberg.
Thanks, man! Yeah...maybe I have a problem 😄 Heinsberg? Ach guck! Ich komme auch aus NRW 😉
Thank you for your Honesty :) Nice Review!
I liked the first tone 😮
Keep riffin' away, my man! Where do they sell those? In Austria? Klangfarbe or something like that? No, I'm all fired up and ready to kick ass but I have no Jackson Flying V lying around here anywhere! Damn! Gotta go and buy one, right now!
🤘🏻 Hey man, thanks for watching! Don't know about Austria. I git mine from thomann. They ship worldwide. You'll definitely not regret buying this guitar
@@PedalJunkie Thank you, I will check it out! Ill let you know what happened!
I've got the exact same amp for home playing and yup it is loud AF and sounds great too in my opinion.
💯% Thanks for watching
Subscribed because of The Crow shirt. The pedal review is cool too.
Thanks man 🤝🏻 Yeah, awesome movie! Too bad what happened to Brandon Lee 😪
The Guv'nor was ment to give a similar amount of drive as a loud JCM 800 being driven without having to turn the amp monstrously loud. It doesn't work with solid state amps. And not really supposed to be a metal type high gain drive. Think more Gary Moore Still got the blues era. But it sounded fine in your video
Thanks for watching. True, it's definitely not a high gain metal pedal. I purposely avoided mentioning Gary Moore since that's what everyone does, it seems. So I didn't want to be just another "Hey Gary Moore used this pedal" guy. But I agree with you. This pedal with a solid state amp...meh
Im exited about the behringer klon!!! Come one February!!!!
February? Sweet! Can't wait
Most of the Behringer pedal casings wont hold a battery..you need the correct external cable with 9V battery
@vincentl.9469 no big deal. I stopped using batteries in pedals since 2012. Powersupply is the way to go. And what do you mean by "most of the Behringer pedal casings" ? 🤔 all of the pedals I showed in the video can be operated with a battery. The vintage tube monster and vintage time machine can't, that's true.
@@PedalJunkie I meant fitting a battery inside as with BOSS
I still have it, I got it when it first came out. Great pedal, especially good for Robin Trower vibe.
Do you remember the year? I couldn't find the exact date on the internet 😅 But yeah, great pedal!
@@PedalJunkie 2008 I guess, I searched the serial number of mine and it said manufactured on September 2006.
Bro the guitar doesnt look like a les paul that much. Not enough to sue lmao. Fuckk political bs in general. Far left and right are insanely cringe
