Ok so my horse woody likes to get really speedy before jumps and he gets really close to the poles and usually knocks them. What can I do to help him not get as speedy and get a better distance?

Hi I watched obe of your videos where you were helping a horse with his head carriage as the horse was coming into his fences with a very high head carriage! I was a little taken back when you told the rider to put a martingale on the horse rather than accessing the bit in his mouth first??

I would like to work with my arab this way but don't want to confuse her prior to beginning. Meaning, I don't want to see what she can do and then switch up the demands on her.
