Sterling Road Approach

An ancient relic is stolen from under the nose of museum curator Sterling Road. He recruits Chief Inspector Dogwood and the dynamic duo attempt to prevent all havoc being wreaked over Oxford...
The way he holds his pint :D
This whole show was amazing. Such a sleeper, even at the time.
If I was an old man, I would always have gone to see his game
I don't know... There is this too big a glass in Iannucci's hand that catches your eye on the spot and steals the show from the off, although not in the good sense. The glass grabs/takes away the alleged/presumed wry humor (of the whole scene) to the point of the scene becoming static and elusive. The awkwardly held glass and its awkward size and shape (it becomes huge in the hand of the smallest in height actors on the set) "destroys" the whole scene. The dialogue comes off as inertial, as it is not strong enough to annul the glaring proximity of that bloody distracting glass.
i fa cup 1967 league cup 1971 uefa cup 1972 league cup 1973 fa cup 1979 well done pat
The best goalkeeper in the world in my opinion excellent
Can I know the name of the background music ? Thank you
Also a very good keeper for Arsenal at £40.000 the sale of the century, i went to his testimonial at Highbury when he still played for Arsenal about 1984 or 1985 about 40000 fans attended including about 10000 spurs fans, if i remember right Liam Brady played for both sides that night as a guest player.
Lou Macari !!!!!!
Top player in Scotland and England
For example, an alligator 🤣
Dundee legend.
Keep it there!
Ok go c
What a wonderful player he was another great that slips by unrecognised outside the UK but was a star in his time thanks for the thrills you gave us football fans then 👏
the joke's too real
As a Spurs fan and fellow keeper, he is the best I’ve ever seen ❤
I feel like ramming the current crop of overpaid upstarts what being professional and gentleman means... Pat Jennings is the epitome of that.
Incredible tribute from " Greavsie "
Brilliant player. He grew up in Coupar Angus about 5 miles from where I grew up in Blairgowrie . He's a local legend and for good reason,he was a tremendous footballer. 👏
World's best.
Yes Omlette
Pat jenningsjusta legend
Patsinged apicture for me in a arsenal team and singer both books about tottenham and arsenal players
The reason pat Jennings come to arsenal was because he lived in the Hertfordshire area and was settled and it would mean he would have to move so Terry Neil got in touch he could of gone to Aston villa or Ipswich but out of the blue he had a call for Terry Neil I think he liked Terry Neil when Terry Neil was the spurs manager could also be the northern Ireland connection
A few years back pat Jennings was doing a talk in welham green hertfordshire
Always a great goalkeeper
That was really sore!!
His name was actually pronounced Gillane
The Best Keeper Ever To Grace The Game.Period🙏
I remember him well from world cups in my (continental) youth (early 80's). Although Northern Ireland never played a big role in world football (no offence intended) it was always a delight to watch him, a remarkable goalkeeper, and that at a fairly advanced age, too. Very nice video clip, thanks for posting.
Anyone tried calling the numbers at 2:53? At least some of them look like valid mobile numbers.

Tottenham should of treated you better pat.
Arsenal legend
The Greatest !!!
Pat is the reason that I have supported Tottenham all my life. Pat is from Newry and I went to school in Newry and when we beat Chelsea 2.1 in FA Cup final in 1967 I was hooked. Broken hearted when he joined Arsenal in 1977. Bad mistake by Keith Burkinshaw but I think I sort of understand his reasoning. Delighted when Pat came back to Spurs and he is now a club ambassador. Jimmy Greaves and him are my two favourite Spurs players of all time and Martin Chivers and we’ll throw in Glenn Hoddle as well. There are so many more!!
Way o way o way o wayyyyy, Derby County.....
Berba's dad.
Pure class RIP Gilly

Horrible man.
Nobody comes close as our No 1 keeper. When we were kids we would try the one handed catch! Even when he went to that mob we still loved him!
Fuckin hell 70p for adult bus fare this must be around 97/98

Greatest goalie ever .
Pat Jennings went to my school. St Joseph's boys highschool in Newry. My granda played Gaelic with him 👌
Gordon Banks said Clemence is good Shilton is better but Jennings is the best he's ever seen that says it all really.
My dads hero. What a player....COYS
