Yep as many have already said, riding staggered prevents this. Obviously, if you’re filtering or splitting behind another rider, or going down a very skinny path, then you can’t ride staggered. But if I’m on a normal lane, I ride staggered. 👌 lessons learned

notice how everyone is not tailgating behind each other? you never tailgate. you move to the far-right side near the curb. that way you could have seen the group lead and react in time. you also need to be more caution because you can't be tailgating behind another rider with 1 hand on the bike that is why you couldn't slowdown in time.

They really need to bring in compulsory training and proper testing, instead of just giving away licences. Everything about your riding was wrong. No bike control (one handed) no lane discipline and basically swerving all over the road. Sadly you paid the consequence. Thankfully you're not one of the statistics.
