Really well explained! I've been playing for many years and sometimes still have trouble with determining what the time signature is to a particular song! You are very clear and concise in not only your explanation but also in your playing what you're talking about! Great job! I wish it came that easy to me! BTW - the most challenging music I play with odd time signatures is by Frank Zappa (especially "Keep it Greasy" which is in 19/16 - Vinnie Colaiuta) and John McGlaughlin Mahavishnu Orchestra (Billy Cobham).

My fav too! Wouldn't surprise me if Tony would have played the main groove with left hand hitting the hi-hat and right hand hitting the floor tom. Looks awkward to play with hands crossed. Cheerz
