My doll has a ceramic tab hanging in the inside about half way down. Any idea what it’s for?

I just inherited a bunch from my grandmother and greatly appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I'd love to learn the best ways to store them as well as history of use. It's crazy to me that this is an area where there is very little information online.

I let them dry by first wrapping 6-8 in a towel and letting them sit. Then to the ironing board and a little air drying. When they are at the barely damp stage, l iron them. I usually do 3-4 dozen at a time to get it out of the way, and start the next batch. I prefer darker floral prints in a large size for practicality. The handkerchief is the most underused and underappreciated of all the accessory items. I use about 4 dozen monthly and love using and collecting them. Nice video with an easy-to-take vocal aspect.

Hi. I have a family chest of old linens and some are odd sizes. How can I tell the difference between tea party dessert napkins and hankies?

The holes around the hankie are there for you to be able to crochet or tat an edging around the hankie.

I am disabled and trying to do some of my French hand sewing I learned years ago. I have hand tremors so, it takes me longer . What fabric did you used and do you have a online place I can buy it from . I never leave the house so I have to buy all my stuff online . I find that online shopping is not so great . The price maybe good but shipping is so high . Doing little projects keeps me busy and happy . Thank you for any advice you can offer
