Back in the day my dream was to reach th11 which was max then Th12 came out I played as much as I could then eventually I stopped playing for a while.Cole back to see th13 then 14 and I saw my goal was getting further away from me . I eventually got to th13 and I was almost max .during hammer jam I maxed the base to 16 as I wanted to save time and I don’t regret my decision at all playing catch up from th14 is exciting and just an overall good experience and maxing faster means I will buy less gold passed so it’s also financially sound

I dont even play that game anymore. They are just increasing time and resources for simple things, the second new update is released. Every player with money has already maxed out their attack and defense. So grinding is feels like its not worth it anymore. Instead, I out just play other games.

The part where you say that a player with all level one defenses i "won't be much weaker than one that has all the defenses maxed" is just wrong, the marginal gains on the defenses occur only with the newest defenses of a town hall, the scattershot for example is about 50% stronger at max level than at level 1, the eagle artillery at level 5 is already twice as strong compared to level 1 then cannons, archer towers, mortars, wizard towers, air defenses and teslas get 10 to 20 times stronger at max level than at level 1 and the same goes for x-bows and inferno towers even traps are way more powerful, so i don't know where you got that impression

Totally disagree. The game hasnt gotten any more difficult/longer in the last 6 years that I've been playing. The earlier town hall upgrades just get shorter and cheaper as they add in new town halls, balancing out... there has never been any more reason to rush now then there was when the game started.

Me personally I have one rushed account for clan wars and one default account where I maxing out fully including everything I think that is the best way

What I do is max like 70-80% of my base and then move to the next level. (Except th12 which i did like 95%)

Just try out rush (rushing i mean is not full rush , half rush half max you know ehat i meant) Pros :maxed heroes troops everything No waiting needed Its upto the players choice Can get on hands on everything And thats fun for me I am a rushing guy but my priorities are for heroes troops and mqin defence yes you will loose many defence nut thats fun

The hero upgrades are a problem. To max your hero's at each townhall means having your hero's out of commission for like 2 months. I don't mind the dark elixir cost but they should really be an instant upgrade like walls.

The more recent electro boots is questionablt useful, so i think that's two duds in a row
