I am still pretty torn. I have had my unit installed almost a year and a half now, and I am not exactly happy with it, if you read the comments, I go into it with a little more depth, but the highlights are, the internal fan failed, and no support, no pass through, it always has to be left on, and third is that it likes to give me an error when I make the switch from shore power to battery. All that said, it was cheap when I needed it to be, but I also don't think I would make the same purchase next time. Thanks for stopping in and for leaving your comment. I think it is good to have an honest forum for others to see before making the purchase themselves.

Yeah, the cost of the rounds would make a ticket ridiculously expensive. I have heard the same about the ships from my good friend who was a Marine in the early 90s. He has told me a lot about the aircraft carriers he moved around on. I also think it is great that you made your dad's promise come true. I know my dad said he always wanted to travel like we are doing when he was younger, but life got in the way and he passed right when we were planning to hit the road. I feel like I am doing this a little bit for him as well as for me. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your comment, and we are grateful that you stopped in to watch the video!

Well, I would be there with you! I have a good amount of family up that way on my dad's side. I think if you get better food than the military would serve and nobody shooting back at you it would be so much fun. It was our first time on a battleship and it was so cool. Yeah, it was really neat to do it. The tour companies do that to bring people in, and also so the alligators get used to being fed, and come around when they see the boat. It is actually illegal to do that in Florida. They believe it makes the alligators dependent on humans and so less afraid of them and less likely to be hunting food like normal. This place was a blast. I loved seeing the Eagles too, because it was the first time I for sure saw an Eagle in the wild. We have not seen the kids and one grandkid since April of 2022, and so we are heading back to Florida for this winter. We have a new grandkid on the way while we will be there, then next spring hopefully we will be going to the New England states. We wintered in Tucson this winter, but have not made it to Quartzite. We wanted to go, but I was diagnosed with Cancer while in Tucson, and stayed put there for the City of Hope crew. Where are you originally from?

Yeah, I have always loved the looks of a Cocker Spaniel, or any spaniel for that matter, but we are told all the time what a good-looking example she is. She also loves it when she gets groomed, and we tell her how pretty she is. It's quite funny for a dog to be so into her vanity... My son has a Chihuahua. He rescued him as an older dog, but they have spoiled him rotten, and they love him like crazy. There must be something with that breed! Thanks for commenting and stopping by!

Yeah, it was a really cool place, since then we have seen the prairie dogs in real life in Amarillo, and tomorrow we are putting out a video about the Jungle Gardens on the Tabasco island. They have thousands of birds and some alligators. We just missed the birds because they only stay until August, but it was still a beautiful area with a lot of other birds too. I still have the freedom marine version. I have not had a lot of luck with the Renogy over the last year or so. The internal fan has stopped working about two weeks in, and have a weird setup to begin with because the inverter has to stay on all the time for two circuits to work properly, even when plugged in. I am thinking about either re0designing a new system or having a second one. I appreciate the information, and are you talking about the "remote" the panel that shows the status and such, or a wireless remote? Thanks for stopping by. @@sandypawstravel the status panel I'm talking about, but I think you can set the charge profile through dip switches as well. Good to know about the renogy inverter, maybe I'll avoid that on the van and go with something better. So you're saying even when plugged in the inverter has to be on to have AC power like it doesn't have an internal transfer switch?

@@christianriedel7017 Yeah, I thought maybe it was just my setup because we have two lines out that even when plugged in at the campground will not work unless the inverter is on. I was highly disappointed to find out there was no power passthrough when off. But then I guess they would not advertise that negative. I appreciate your answer. I still have the remote, and I believe the original papers. I will look how to set the parameters on the freedom marine.

Yeah, I felt the same way while I was watching all the other people out traveling while we were getting everything ready to go ourselves. Today we went to Waco texas, saw Mount Carmel, the Dr. Pepper Museum, and the Waco Mammoth. Now we are heading out again. Hopefully we will get caught up on the videos soon! You need to head out now to see things while you can. You never know what tomorrow brings!

Thanks for the compliment. I cheated knowing which one it was because ours only has one spring. I had to adjust it a couple days later to make it a little tighter, and now it works great. Do you have the carefree of Colorado?

@@sandypawstravel I do… the Care Free Fiesta model. It appears to use two springs… I may just take the whole tube off and inspect the springs as I have to replace my fabric as well. Cheers! 🍻

@@jeremy_rigged Mine is also a FIesta model according to the paperwork that came with it. I am certainly no expert, but I believe there will only be one on the fiesta models. I looked just before responding here, and I only saw one. I am not sure if you are familiar with the actual expert @azexpert he has been an RV tech forever, and he has a couple better videos covering these awnings. Good Luck!

I replaced on in 2020 it was on the back end so unless it's a short one you don't know

If you are talking about for the model we have, the six white squares in the upper right of the hookups will be labeled on the black above it with in / out and then with the + - N to tell you which wires go where. I think it is also in the book, but if you have further questions, feel free to ask.

The only way I would know to tell you is that I had to put the multi-meter on the wires to know which was energized coming from the source, and then that one should be your incoming. Do you have an inverter you are replacing, or are you doing one from scratch?

Yeah, I wondered about that when I first got it in hand. on the plus side, I really like the pressure tank included with it. It has also filtered well since I installed it. I appreciate your input.
