It makes me wonder how deep a backstory Takahashi imagined that never made it to the final story. What I wouldn't give to be able to read his notes! At any rate, I'm still confused about this because in DSoD, it makes it look like Bakura's father was killed by the Ring. But in the manga, it states that Bakura's father owns Domino Museum (presumably bought it after Shadi killed Kanekura).

Kaiba, as portrayed by many as mean and self-centered character of Atem pharaoh saga, in my admiration toward him, has put his best effort to battle to the end of his life whether that enemy of his has possessed millennium item or not. He never have any second thought for running away even though he has got beaten so intensely.

I remember when Obelisk was revealed, you could actually feel just how powerful he was. When Slifer made it's appearance it was game on, every single player was hunting down the God cards. I was able to get the secret rare set from "World wide edition" and gave my two friends Slifer and Ra, we we're unstoppable. Many tried to steal them but we stuck tightly, always looking after each other. Those were the days.

I always loved Ishizu. Not just because of her impact on the story, but also because I had a crush on her growing up.

yami markik i believe is the combined negative emotions of the entire clan, mariks father seemed to be a cruel and unloving man but i truly believe that all the tombkeepers detached the negative emotions from themselves during the ritual and the reason that yami marik is so unhinged is because he is just pure hatred, given form. how that is possible lies with the millenium items. the items being near the family for centuries likely aided in the ability for those negative emotions to gain a conciousness. The millenium items do tend to create darkness so its not unlikely as the rod does have an evil nature and being able to mind control someone signifies that. theirs also the their that its just a long lost tombkeeper finally finding a way to take control of a body and it was mariks hatred and unwillingness to have the ritual done that causes the undead soul of his ancestors to awaken inside of him. we know very little about his clan and their full history is a mystery so it could be a member who also hatred his birthright who used the rod to keep himself alive so he could find someone to help him destroy the puzzle and gain ultimate power

The fake cards is an interesting concept, not many in that said universe has acess to certain cards due short printed (theres only 4 blue eyes and others alike) honeslty never understood why Kaiba didnt bother to mass print like they do in real life Thats literally so unfair for must people 😅 Only Kaiba had acess to the best cards the rest had to work it what they got Imagine how that would be in real life, like only certain players would have acess to cards like Minerva(for a while it was) and other recent ones(2024 support) and the rest had to play the old way

This might be a hot take but i think yumi from yugioh zexal is a criminally underared character due to the growth he had throughout the season. It's one of the main reasons why i fell like most protagonist are better than yusei. ( i havn't watched vrians ) Yugi, Yami, sure as hell Jaden yugi and yuma are better and much more enjoyable than yusei. All though yusei isnt the WORST protagonist that goes to yuya sukaka who i wishes the show would focus on yuto, yugo, yuzu, rin, lulu or serena to be the main protagonist rather than yuya who so many times i wished would lose and get carded

alot of the mysteries you talk about are covered in the yugioh manga as your covering a lot of the yugioh duelist manga

Ishizu definitely is an interesting character in the Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters anime and manga series. I like her a lot. I like her personality, she's beautiful, and I like her determination to bring her brother back from darkness. She's a a strong character who isn't afraid to show her vulnerable side when necessary. Plus her duel against Kaiba is one of my favorites in the anime and manga. Ra bless Kazuki Takahashi for creating such a compelling series with great characters.

Gonna be honest, it's been so long since I've read the manga that I actually forgot about this little part. So when I saw the scene between Bakura's dad and Shadi I was confused how this happen since my memories of the anime were more prevalent, now I gotta go back read the manga again. Also, while I don't think I'd call this much of a mystery: but I thought it was kinda interesting that Yugi also has the same powers of the Plana as Sera said that he shared their wavelength or something similar, it's been a while since I've seen the movie too haha

I really hope the Evil Gods, and Divine type monsters in general, get more support. Soul Crossing and Divine Evolution are good generic support, but they need WAY more. I mean, if they can turn Exodia into an archetype without focusing on the instant win strategy, no reason the Divine Beasts can't get some love too outside of some hyper specific support

did orichalcos have to do with pharaoh atem when dartz encountered pharaoh atem in ancient egypt 5000 years and witnessed his control of the powers of darkness and his ability to command duel monsters. he also witnessed the pharaoh, with slifer the sky dragon pursuing thief king bakura and diabound after atem's uncle and aknamkanon's brother aknadin destroyed his village of kul elna in order to forge millenium items with souls of kul elna villagers. however, dartz could not capture the pharaoh's soul because bakura and zorc necrophades were in his way (though dartz seems to not have any fear of zorc and when he showed the past of the pharaoh (his first battle with bakura); dartz never saw zorc as a threat to the great leviathan, likely believing the powers of the leviathan were greater than those of zorc). He therefore had to wait another 5000 years to capture the pharaoh's soul.

if there is also great behemoth and great ziz like great leviathan.

I do wish the wicked gods got some more support all the other gods got support so why not the wicked gods.
