Proper job!! Just going through my Cortina lamps and haven’t done the earthing with wires - I added stainless M5 Rivnuts to the diecast base and bolted through to the shell with those. I put a 20 Gauge bronze cleaning brush in a cordless drill to polish the inside of the bulb socket sockets and gave them a wipe of vapour phase corrosion inhibitor product. Fingers crossed it’ll do the trick. Failing that I’ll be wiring in some earth.

Big market for sheds like this car. A lot of middle age Ford fans with cash would part with £10k + for a presentable looking car like that. I love MK1 XR2s and this really appealed to me when I first saw it. They always looked good in white. The owner is going to have a serious bill. I bought a proper tube bender for this reason. You kinda need a traditional tube bender if you don't want the tubes collapsing in on themselves. The Amazon pipe bender will work to a point but you need to divide the bend into 10mm sections and bend each section a little and it takes about 20 minutes just to do one bend. Packing with sand will also help a little

if you pack the pipe with sand and tape the ends with duct tape the bender will do thinner pipe with out crushing it FYI.
