This movie I think actually was the one that made me recognize and like to see Michael Peña and Jake Gyllenhaal. It’s honestly my number one most favorite buddy cop movie by far, because it’s honestly way more realistic than any of the other ones out there. It really makes you feel for the cops and it’s honestly what makes me respect real cops. They don’t deserve they shit that gets thrown at them for doing their job.
Great!! now I have to go rewatch this movie all over again for the 9th time :)

Jaime FitzSimons first guy talking, also played Captain Reese , is actually involved with law enforcement. That must’ve been so cool to have his experience and knowledge to make this film even more realistic

I had no idea that the guy wearing the beanie cap at the beginning is a real police officer. He also played the Capt. who walked into briefing congratulating Taylor and Zavala after their first shooting.
I always assumed he was a real officer when i saw the movie... His talking scenes in the movie always looked a little contrived and robotic to me...plus he couldn't look more like a cop if he tried and since i haddnt seen him in anything else I always assumed he was a real cop. Ive seen in a few things other than this after i saw this....and its always as a cop. I assume hes a technical advisor that hollywood uses often.. that prob does real roles from time to time for SHlTS and giggIes

epic, i love the song and the movie, it´s so touching
I can't agree more. The thing that strikes me is the part when Robin and Dylan were making love. You see a huge amount of flowers and plants growing, which is symbolic for the birth that she gave to her two children, Aaron and Sarah, the children whom she desperately cares for. Flowers are beautiful, just as mothers would normally think about their kids. What also gives it away is that before the scene, Robin was flying a kite near an airplane, it gets caught in a propeller, causing it to crash and have the other airplanes be destroyed. Aaron loved to fly his kite near the fence where the airplanes would approach, so I think this is also important in giving that away.
