    Banging speed was always super difficult for me since I had already pretty much already used up my veins when it became readily available in my city. He must of kept shooting even though the second you miss it's just blinding pain so that's crazy to me. Unless he's just talking about having an abscess in general. Keep fighting the good fight brothers and sisters. I've got four years sober now and I promise you it's possible. Take it one day at a time, one hour at a time, or even one minute at a time if you have to

      Yeah, I've been on mine for a while now, it is a lot better being on a once a month injection instead of taking suboxone medication daily. I felt like taking suboxone was like being on a roller coaster, cause it felt like it was constantly going up and down, whereas being on the sublocade is keeping you at a consistent level. Plus you're not having to worry about it as much and you can focus on other things in your life.

    • @TheChelzin8or
      @TheChelzin8or 15 днів тому

      The only downside to the injection is the pain, cause it causes a stinging pain because of the medication, as soon as it's administered into your body the medication starts to harden which is why you get a burning or stinging pain. When I get mine, i prefer them to do it around my lower stomach because you have more fatty tissue there and it doesn't hurt as bad, whereas if they go higher up, like above your belly button it stings more because there isn't as much tissue there. If you ever want any questions or info, you're more than welcome to send me a message or talk to your doctor at the clinic you go to, that should always be a first anyways. Hope everything is going well with your treatment! ;)

    As a heroin addict, I highly recommend sublicaid, I used to get suboxone and I would only ever just get strung out on those. And when I had to come off I just went back to heroin. The shot has worked wonders for me. I suggest getting on strips to taper from whatever illicit opioid and then after a couple weeks of maintenance switch to the shot. I’ve had no side effects and am now 7 months clean from all and any opioids

      Actually, addiction Addiction is defined as a chronic, relapsing disorder characterized by compulsive drug seeking and use despite adverse consequences. MAT when used properly under the care of a Doctor and in combination with therapy, is not defined as addiction, it's Maintenance and has helped many people, learn to live without illegal drugs, and become a productive member of society, hold down a job, pay their bills, go back to school, get their children back and live a normal, manageable life without cravings, without drug-seeking. It isn't a cure but it's an option and not everyone takes the same path to recovery, as long as they are able to find recovery, whatever works for the individual. It's about harm reduction, it's about saving lives, if MAT can help someone rebuild their life, heal from the trauma that comes with addiction and be a happier, healthier person, I am all for it.

    I've been on 8mg Suboxone 3 times daily for almost 3 years, and I'm terrified to come off of it. I feel like I'm stuck and the only thing that will allow me to stop, is to die. I just can't see another way out. On top of it, I'm on multiple psych meds and those cause withdrawals if i stop using them as well. I've pretty much just accepted how it has to be, and live my life one worthless day at a time, with no hope, no plan that can actually work out, and a deep fear of leaving my house. MAT works well for a lot of people. It's become a curse for me though. I hate that it has to be this way.
