I LIKE YOUR IDEA OF FITTING A 66 MUSTANG BOBY OVER A 18 MUSTANG GT S550 CHASSIS EVEN THOUGH IT'S WIDER THAN THE 66 CHASSIS! I WONDER WOULD THE RING BROTHERS ALL CARBON FIBER 65/66 WIDEBODY MAKE A BETTER FIT?...I AM JUST SAYING!...GOD BLESS AMERICA! 😇
Sorry for the late response, but that's a good question, maybe the body from ring brothers might fit better! But i couldn't imagine the work needed if something was off because i definitely had to do a lot of metal work to get the gaps and alignment right, and with carbon fiber, oooooo laawdddd, can't imagine the level of work needed

Lol I love how simple this video makes it look seen a few different swaps. The amount of effort that goes into this is both impressive and insane. Great job. I’m glad you molded the fenders into it. Not a fan of the bolted on look.

I have the exact same car
Everything looks great, except I can't imagine how you screwed up the side scoops so bad. That nice crisp line running down the door to the top of the scoop should have been continued along the top of the scoop, instead of running into a obvious glob of Bondo. Pay no attention to people complaining about the paint. There is much to be said for a single stage, non metallic paint job. Especially for a street driven car. Repairs are easy and it gives it a sinister look. And the blue ain't bad either.
Hello, car is actually painted in base / clear Porsche riviera blue with color changing metallic flakes. I appreciate the kind words, did my best with the scoops but i wasn’t looking for any lines, more of an airplane-esk smooth scoop. It also helped with lining up the door with the quarter panel, and scoop with the new rocker panel

Had no idea that the stance of the new Mustang was so much wider! Not a fan of the blue, but (sadly) it's not my car...
It was tough decision to pick color, if i were to go back in time I might’ve chosen a different color, but it really is extremely bright and eye catching in person, camera doesn’t do it much justice, but yeah the newer mustangs are incredibly wide!

How long did it take you
It took me exactly one year from the point I started to the point I finished that videos I did this on the side while working and going to school so it’s taken a while, but I’ve still continued to work on the car and will in the near future post an updated video

Not for nothing but wouldnt be easier to attach reproduction 1965 quarters, roof, etc to a modern car? Seems like a waste of a good solid older car if 60% of it is going for scrap anyway
