Messing with genetics doesn’t always produce better quality results overall
good in theory, in practice..? not so much, the genetic diversity of life is required to stop disease etc. and grow faster, is only one trait that is strong, while other traits will be weak. this is the sad reality of what you are doing, sorry.
Thanks for the great information!!
Ever since i was a kid and saw the super tomato on tv ive been fascinated with genome science, bravo!
Genome science is the future!
Any update on the oyster program?
great
What do you use for floats ?
What kind of boat is that in at 0:45? Thanks!
I wish i can learn to breed a oyster
Put the adult oysters in a tank of aerated circulating salt water, suddenly increase the temperature by 5 celcius degrees, the oysters will spawn. Transfer that water to another aerated circulating tank, and feed with algae for 30 days, near the 30 days add finely ground shell for the spat to attach to. You now have tiny oysters.
My favorite 😊
Yum! Fresh oysters. Sorry oysters, but you are lovely to eat! I will not overdo it. Just once in a while. Yummmmm!
Great production, hope your content gets more views
Cute
Superb
Why Canadian universities not offering MBA in oil and gas management degree??
Thank you for a brilliant explanation of the importance of virus, bacteria and other microbes. Humanity now has the possibility to learn a little about evolution. It is not possible to vaccinate the evolution and lock down the world to forget the divine design.
Yes, I really believe that Genomics can bring a lot of values to a country. The only problem is the employability rate. Thank you sir, for this interview. It allows others to undertand why this science is soo important.
Useful and thoughtful talk, but any possibility to include link of slides? Some of Dr. Edwards points are hard to follow without the visuals of the slides.
Slides can be found here: www.abic.ca/abic2013/PDF/SPEAKER_PRESENTATION/ElizabethEdwards.pdf
Would be nice to see the slides that he is referring to. I'll post them here after I talk to him.
I love you Michel, my broter

Its not just biology, look tab the bonobos! www.ted.com/talks/susan_savage_rumbaugh_on_apes_that_write
Well as the brother to this "genius", I would first of all criticize his tie LOL and I do wonder why the video guy didn't let us see what Michel was showing on the power point slides, because it makes my brother seem very pretentious. And I am sure he wants to be humble and really explain to us.
The lecture is not well understandable without the slides Prof Pääbo is showing.
Yeah, thank you very much for not showing the visuals that show what he is talking about -.-
Thanks for this second part as well!
Thank you VERY much for this share!!
This will be an interesting project as California depends on importing sustainably grown wood from Canada.
