wait wait wait, you telling me Sonic OCs started to be a thing in 2007 and not before? why took it so long? anyway, back on the topic, almost all of my OC designs (when i was a small kid) were the classic "child of" and if i made an OC outside of that it was just a recolor, one of my oldest (and basically the first) was a Sonamy kid that over the time i redesign and now he changed from a light blue Sonic recolor to a raccoon, dunno if i should change his name because that's the only thing i kept from my original idea of the character. Might as well give him a nickname and keep his name a secret

I dont care to make typical sonic ocs Im a huge exe fan soo i made one While he does look very similar to others of the type his creation was more so i could basically just portray sonic.exe as my own character and give him a more fleshed out story, he only sort of became more original over time with some more unique coloration and design elements Hes still strikingly similar to the original sonic.exe but im happy with him for the purpose he serves. Just a short rundown of the guy cuz why not Hex, an old ancient Eldritch esc monstrosity finally able to access the human world again, takes an interest in sonic the hedgehog, and bases everything he does around it. He looks like sonic (yeah ofc) with the typical forte, but emerald green eyes and shoes with some blue with a hue of purple (inspired by the ssbu color), some black sleeves that come are under his gloves and socks to below his joints, a large black cloak he wears in tandem with a skeletal mask, with giant curved horns that come out of the front of the mask (inspired by both diablo and shao kahn). Not too creative but oh well Small edit: even if i wanted to make a sonic oc, Id just think mecha sonic was way cooler and go back to drawing him repeatedly lol

I don't think there's anything wrong with calling them ocs instead of fan characters. I may have an oc, but I'm not really a Sonic fan. Just someone who was marginally into the series many years ago and made a character for the time being. Still, this video was very fun to watch. I'm sure most people have never even heard of a mountain horned dragon. That's a unique species for sure~
