Make sure that you do your due diligence on the Systemwide software and ASIO mode in a Windows environment. After days of toubleshooting with tech support from Sonarworks, I ended up sending this product back because it doesn't function as advertised. From the Sonarworks tech: " ASIO mode or Wasapi mode in Systemwide doesn't change its relationship with DAW - you will still need to run DAW (or any other advanced audio software) in Wasapi or DirectSound to be able to use Systemwide as DAW output." This was a non=starter form me as WASAPI or Directsound add in far too much system latency. My workflow involves moving quickly between Ableton, P-Tools, and Izotope software, while also referencing online sources such as Spotify and Splice. I was hoping to be able to use Systemwide to set EQ adjustments across my entire system, and that is not possible without WASAPI or DS mode.

Bought the last release of SSL 2+ from Thomann several weeks ago and returned back! Its quality is very bad. They changed the design. The D/A and CODEC chips inside was changed to Cirrus logic instead the AKM and they still listed in the specs as AKM. The op-amps used in the last release is different than the initial design and also the electrolytic capacitors was replaced from Nichicon to low quality Fujicon. In sounding it really sound bad. Then I measured the harmonic distortions with my Panasonic Audio Analyzer. The distortions of the main output are significantly higher. They goes to 0.01% but if the main volume knob is up to 70%. On 100% of the volume knob the distortions reach 0.11% (and still the output level hardly goes to 0VU / +4dbu). I'm totally disappointed by the SSL 2+ and because I return back the products now I cannot rate in on the Thomann site. Keep in mind all these facts when buy this product!

Why does no one talk about the bass? You need to know that it's not very tight, but in a vicious way and it's aggressive. So consider that.

Hello, is having an Apollo interface required to use the console?

Ryan, wish to reinforce others comments. Your teaching style is superb, no unnecessary waffle of vagueness. you clearly know how to navigate this and I have had a long break - returning a little confused to the console... like why am i hearing my guitar even when my DAW is not engaging the channel.. ahhh the MUTE on the console channel doesn't stop the signal going to the DAW 😀 Basically, thanks to your navigation tips and breakdown, I've got more comfortable with how i might use this. will be looking how to use the console to route things to the hardware sends on the interface, but that's a tomorrow problem :) keep it up. I'm going to look thru your archive now :)

For those seeking saturated high-gain metal distortion, the REVV G series pedals are the top choice for a reasonably-priced option.
