    On using Vinegar rather than bleach. Vinegar is an acid (PH of 2-3) while bleach is a base (PH 11-13.) Bases and acids are effective on different materials. So that change may or may not yield better results. Bleach is going to be better at killing bacteria. Vinegar would be better for hard water deposits. In general since hard water is alkaline (more basic.) NEVER MIX bleach and vinegar as it will produce toxic chlorine gas.

    • @AviatorsGarage

      @ this is not an engine from 2006, this engine has only been around since 2023, and respectfully after driving it and knowing people who own one, it’s a horrible small engine compared to the 3.5 V6, the 2.4 turbo vibration goes up into the steering column and you only get 19 mpg and the engine sounds broken especially when you step on the gas and try to up to freeway speeds, it stresses and works too hard to get up to speed, that turbo is not gonna last, Toyota really dropped the ball, it should at least have the option of the 3.5 V6 like the Lexus TX 550h+

    • @AviatorsGarage
      @AviatorsGarage 12 днів тому

       I don’t know what’s going on with your friend’s car but we don’t have any of those problems whatsoever. I do wish there was a V6 option like the 550 but it is what it is. We have more room now. The 8 speed transmission definitely makes up for the power. It does get up and go. It’s really not that big of a deal. If you want to race car, go buy a supra. Then you can complain about the BMW engine in it. And yes, this four-cylinder turbo has been around for quite some time. But you can continue to have your opinion and I appreciate you watching. We are getting 21.9 miles per gallon. So your friend sounds like he needs to take his car in to get it worked done. I bet you they actually like driving it.

      This engine has been around since 2010 after I looked and did my research so I spoke for 2006. The turbo four-cylinder has been quite reliable among Lexus and Toyota models so it’s really not that big of a deal now the one engine that is having problems is the twin turbo V6, which isn’t all the tundras and they’re blowing left and right and I will agree to everything you say about the tundra having serious issues. As of now we have 10,000 miles on our grand Highlander and it’s been fine airbag recall key fob recall and I believe there is an update to fix the info entertainment software so it doesn’t do this weird reboot while driving. I’ve had tons of reports from people who drive the hybrid Max and say it’s very powerful so tech technology is changing. I do know from my own experience. I probably will not be buying a new car for myself for a very long time because I believe it is a waste of money however I do want my wife to drive something that she feels comfortable and safe in and the grand Highlander is it. She didn’t want to drive a minivan. What do you do?

      @@AviatorsGarage the 2.4 from 2010 is not the same as the 2023 2.4 turbo in the Grand Highlander, it may be based off of it, but the application is pretty different, also the engines are different for the hybrid and non hybrid models the one I’m talking about is the non hybrid, the 2.4 turbo sucks, it’s so unrefined, it may not be slow but the engine sounds stressed to get up to freeway speeds, and you get 21 mpg is not much of a difference between the 19 mpg I got, it’s all in the same ball park, at the point it gets the same mileage as the 4.0 liter V6 from the 4Runner, the 3.5 liter V6 gets about the same if not better mpg, now if we’re talking about the hybrid it has the naturally aspirated 2.5 4 cylinder, and of course that’s quick cause of the electric motors assisting, otherwise the 4 cylinder is an awful small engine to put in a good sized suv that needs a V6

    Toyota knows what they are doing. I have a Toyota Tacoma trd 4x4 with the premium package. There is no need to add anything. I see so many guys that modify and lift their trucks and never take it off road. I have several co-workers who have added racks with overland accessories and tents and just drive around in the city trying to look cool. Why not just enjoy what Toyota has designed instead of wasting another 10 to 15 grand to look cool. Doesn't make sense. To each his own, but i like my truck from the factory. I have personalized a couple of things in the cab but that's about it. One more thing I'm so sick of everyone that is a follower of getting the sequential headlights. My 2020 came with the LED package but no sequential headlights. I love it. They look perfectly fine. No need to pull off the front end and spend 1700 to look cool. Lol

      @danielshahan8802 lol wasn’t $1700. But I can see people adding wenches, led light bars, brush guards, new light housings and aftermarket fog lights and $1700 doesn’t even make a dent to that…

      There's a few things the tacoma lack. I have a 2022 trd off road but no heated seats, the seat needs spacers to lean back to make it more comfortable. No heated seat. No power tail gate for the lock. And no remote start. These things should be a standard on tacomas. (speaking from my 2022 tacoma) my mid trim silverado had all this and more. Heated seats, power tailgate remote start. Auto window roll down. All nice features. And it was 7 years older and it had all the technology.
