I have ddj sz and I notice my right deck does not work perfectly. When I press stop on the controller, it takes long for the song to stop. I have adjusted the knob on the controller to no avail. What could be the issue. I have done factory reset on it to to avail

Honestly, they have technical skill yes. But it feels completely devoid of soul. Stiff. The music selection is horrendous. Very sterile and antiseptic. totally devoid of funk, groove, soul. Can't say i'm a fan of all the tech in battles. I kinda think you should minimum be forced to use needles. But for me, I don't get nearly the vibe i got when i was in crowds in battles back in the day. They are technically decent. Not my style at all though. I'm not feeling this. No soul.

A sort of Hall effect, similar to those used in automotive for the cam and crank position (and other) sensors. would be my guess. The gaps in the magnets causes the magnetic field to fluctuate and picked up by the control arm as a sine wave, converted into sound waves with varying modulation dependent on the speed of the of the platter as it rotates... A guess, but I'm not a mechanic, electrical engineer, or musician...Still a nice effect though!

Of course they don't do things like that anymore because it's all digitally audio routed through some MP3 player or their computer or whatever and all they got is some wax that they never change out on the wheels

I'm telling you if the needle ain't hitting the record then it don't count. The beauty about this art form is balancing that tone arm and stylus on real vinyl!!!! Otherwise might as well use cdjs

No needle on record = automatic fail in my opinion. Sorry. But FUMI was the best. The other 2 might as well use CDjs. Everybody knows part of what makes it special is balancing that tone arm and stylus on the record. 😅😅😅😅

Here’s the thing about craze’s 98 set. It was an actual MIX. Most DJs would get up and showcase their unique mixes but none would really transition to the next thing as smoothly as craze did. Like the entire set was smooth, tight and clean.

Great video. How powerful of a laptop do you need to run the 1 milisecond? Or just keep it at 2 since it’s only 1 millisecond? I wonder why this setting exists if it’s so demanding on the hardware.

I love the new tech I got my first set of 1200s back in the early 90s music is digital but I still have records and crates of records great for sampling

I understand and respect the skill and coordination required to play these sets but aside from being awed by the skill it sounds like trash imho

Definitely install that send audio out of Serato feature. This way you can record your sets in your daw or anything on your computer that will receive Serato audio. That’s a game changer for Serato. Now you can record streaming tracks in your daw of choice or send audio to OBS when streaming. Huge feature you over looked. Without this your streaming audio will sound like crap!
