If you hit your clip where your marker is in 22 ft of water, ( on the surface) when you cast your rigs is there not going to be considerable swing back in that depth? ( hitting the clip on a tight line)?
Yes there would be. In the video I did not show how I get my rigs into position….. I showed how to spomb accurately by casting to the marker.
Wasn’t a criticism, was just wondering how you worked out where to clip your rigs up if you use that method to spomb.
I didn’t take it as one mate….. sorry if it came across that I did. In answer to your question I cast the marker rod with a bear lead around till I find my spot, wrap that up to find the distance with also keeping in mind my horizon marker! I then wrap my fishing rods up a few wraps more beyond, for example (fishing at 15 wraps out with a 22ft drop I would wrap up at say 17 wraps) then cast to my horizon marker feel for the drop, unclip, reel in a few feet and go again. I will keep repeating this until I find the spot. As soon as I do, I get it back around the wrap stick to find out the length my fishing rods rods should be at. I hope that makes sense. A very long winded explanation for that lol sorry about that! Maybe I will do a video about it at some point.
