Wow. J. Pat O'Malley at age 21! I first saw him in the 1962 version of "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". He was also in a couple of Barney Miller episodes. (The Rainmaker & The Counterfeiter). One of those actors one sees hither & yon, but never any specific genre.

It´s much easier to find Swedish silent movies from USA than from Sweden. Swedes don´t appreciate old silent movies, but Americans and other people around the world do appreciate them. I am ashamed to live in Sweden because of this.

What a cute child child actress Loni Nest (August 4th, 1915 - October 2nd, 1990) was!! She made 45 films over a 15 yr time-span. To name severak of them: Harakiri was her 4th. The Merry-Go Round (1925) was her 6th. Der Golem (1920) was her 9th. Her 13th was The Haunted Casrle *(1921). Nosferatu (1922) was her 23rd. All of those, and possibly a few of her others, are now available. But Lone made only one talkie: Les Amoureux (1933) That is not available now. Maybe one day it will be.

Geraldine Ferrar (February 28th, 1882 - March 11th, 1957) was also an opera soprano. This film was her 5th of only 15 silent screen appearances. She didn't enter the talkie era, but she lived to be 85. If you go to Wikipedia, you can hear her singing a duet with Enrico Caruso.

Loved Janet Gaynor in “Sunrise” and even more so with Charles Farrell in “7th Heaven”.....then heard their actual voices in this flick 😳... I somewhat recovered from that painful shock, but the length of this lumbering musical was as hard to bear as their cringe singing🥺

I loved watching every secondof this movie, what a contrast to todays girls. I lost 40 years watching this. THANK YOU so very much.
