As far as I remember, the directory path was very poorly optimized for Monster Hunter World. On the launch of iceborne stracker's loader was basically required to launch the game, and disable the anti cheat, which had HORRIBLE and I mean HORRIBLE performance impact. Could be a similar case where they had optimized the game to work properly in closed systems, but when put online with the anti cheat and everything it's possible it just wasn't optimized for that. There's also an issue where dx12 worked terribly on Monster Hunter World, and as far as I'm aware this is the same engine, try dx11
