Just in the process of ordering the parts from BMW. BMW recommend G3 oil and not G1 for my 2016 Rex. Any reason why you used G1?

Apparently the chain tensioner could cure this noise though I am finding mixed results in my research. Our X5 30D (N57 single turbo) with aprox 280k kms has this noise for a few minutes after a cold start. At first I did not suspect it was the chain as it sounds like a choo choo or chugging noise.

I had the exact same problem. Virtually everything was replaced before. Rocker cover gasket, oil pan gasket, all the vanos rings, the oil filter housing gasket, oil cooler gasket... and eventually this little ring caused most of the leak. It's kinda hard to get to as you need to disassemble quite a bit, but solved my oil leak problem 🎉

Bmw e93 sometimes steering is normal sometimes is very hard, the eps not working. I think the eps isnt the problem (if sometimes works)… Can it be a conectivity or electrical problem? I dont have any warning dash lights…

Hi changed timing chain, after 1 month the noise is back

So, if I replace both struts, and replace the BCM, (all new parts) and still get nothing from the remoter or interior/exterior push buttons, and the errors are still: 801714, 801716, 801718, and 801720 "HVAC Hall sensor short circuit to positive" on both left and right sides..... WHAT is the solution?? I have Ista+ on my laptop, where would I go to "reprogram" or 'code" the module?? Help please???

2 interesting things: So basically you cannot just replace complete mirror unit including this module? That would be much more easy fix. 2.) New module looks like completely different. More waterproof?

Can you not just buy the module and replace it? My car has the exact same issue.
