How do you play marching baritone with such a dark tone😭
8:24 how are you able to lip down a whole step with such a clear tone??
lol, one of the euphoniums was behind him there that’s how 😂
ohhh my god I thought that was him
1. you play amazing. 2. 9:43 LMAO HOW DOES ONE COME UP WITH THAT
Great cam Henry! Did they end up standardizing the mouthpieces for the bari line after all, if so what did yall play on? Thanks in advance!
No standardization😎
I don't think the average audience member understands how truly difficult this brass book is. Starting at 4:40, you guys are doing G-E lip slurs in triplet 16ths??? And on the move??
Any idea if a tuba cam is coming out?
Also that kick a 13:20 was MAD impressive
@@ratmause i didnt even notice his foot goes ABOVE his bell
i miss you guys <3
any advice for double tonguing?
Nice!

Funny thing to me is this dude is having fun. I marched DCI in the 80's and it wasn't fun at all. Did it for 3 seasons. I would call it rewarding but not fun. Staff used to get mad at you for laughing or breaking protocol. The hardest thing that I have ever done in my life. Seems DCI let up on that standard. Now you guys don't even march on or off of the field. Oh and I forgot about the 4 layer wool uniforms that were heavy and hot to be in. Most of us were boys. The color guard were girls and they made all the stuff they used and hemmed our uniforms. Right here right now eh?
A lot of decorum has slipped, that’s for sure. It’s a little too artsy for me sometimes.
PFL
Right here, right now!! Thank you for this footage!
These brass players are alternatively assembled
this was such a fun show
3:24
This is what I came for
I love this because y’all came to our school and cause you play baritone and I’m planning to audition for crown once I graduate and march baritone there too thank you for the head cam man
Do it man
I also am a baritone that wants to play for crown
Good work Henry!❤️

I want to join crown in 2024. I’m a sophomore
Bro did not miss
My guy at 0:55 looks like Elton John when he was younger 🤣😎
absolutely love crown 100% my favorite show this season
Me too!
i hope u guys upload your headcam videos on youtube. still need more videos !!
Ayo their at my school
I miss you Henry! Great head cam bro! 🥺👏🏻
I'm a baritone player in high school and I'm going to audition for Crown after my senior year. What are some things that Crown looks for?
I can't speak for Crown specifically but most if not all world class corps will look for marching experience outside of high school, so I would personally recommend marching a year of an open-class corp or college marching band before marching crown. That's not to say it's not impossible right out of high school, but it would be helpful. If you can afford it, definitely audition for both world and open class since even if you get cut you will learn a lot. Also practice the hell out of your fundamentals and audition packet when you get it.
A great sound, a great work ethic, and above all someone who’s willing to put in the work. They don’t care where you’ve marched or where you’re from
@@shep7544 my drum major is a senior this year and marched with the bluestars this season
Finally a cam video
fastest horn snap in east
Methinks Ennery is looking for a coupla OTTs before he ages out. And he's well on his way. :D
Wow! I really didn't know there are some players that specializes in playing only the downbeat! No wonder the whole ensemble sounds so powerful! Also that horn throwing freaked me out lol
Certain days we only play downbeats as to save chops after a full days rehearsal for a show the next day😊
Idk but the actual amount of movement and directional power is exactly what a vis instructor would want to see. IK I cant see his feet. But god damn this is a great cam. One of the best if not the best cam, based on actual performance, I’ve ever seen. I take it back, this is THE best cam I’ve ever seen. I only wish I could have heard the last chord.
This dude is an incredible player
"tut"
Bach 5G?
Yes! The baritones all played 5G’s and the euphs played 4G’s
Eyugh

Did you get it???
Yes!
Henry Otts amazing! So did I! I can’t wait to see you there🤩
Was so excited when I saw you posted this!
I am a clarinet player also from Alabama! I’m trying out for honor band of America as well.
I’m a freshman, and did Jr. All-State for Indiana last year and waiting for results for Sr. All-State. You have great tone.
I also play Euphonium, the second excerpt I played in 8th grade for solo and ensemble
This is awesome! Your definitely getting in.
