Easy Red Beans & Sausage 🌶️ 🔥
There are a lot of ways to cook red beans, this is just a simple recipe that I cook for my family on occasion. Not a lot of ingredients required. Hope you all enjoy!
Add Beans to pot with 3 cups of water.
Once it comes to a light boil, add onions, peppers, and garlic along with your seasonings.
I used salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cajun seasoning, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes.
Cover with slight crack for 45 mins medium low heat.
After 45 mins un cover & add your Smoked Sausage and a little extra water or Stock if it reduced too much.
Cover with crack for another 45 mins.
After 45 mins, beans should be nice and tender. At this point check for seasoning and season to taste.
If not tender cover for another 20 mins until tender.
Last thing I add is a teaspoon of bacon fat and let cook for 15 mins uncovered to give it a more thick consistency which is what I prefer.
And Last step is to enjoy!!
Thanks for watching!

As soon as you called andouille “smoked sausage” I noped out
This looks legit. You know what you’re doing bro! From Lafayette LA 🔥
Lol, how you gonna make gumbo without all the ingredients?! Looked good, but you half stepped.
I remember as a kid My Dad used to call it a poor mans gumbo when he didn't have everything but still made it work & it was good to us as kids we never knew the difference. Sometimes you have to improvise, especially nowadays with groceries being so expensive.
Yeah that's New Orleans style for real I see you deveined your shrimp
I just finished breakfast and now I'm hungry again. Our okra is doing awesome in the garden. We have been eating okra everything. Pan fried with onions and cornmeal is my favorite. My folks were from Alabama. I was raised on southern cooking. Being a momma's boy, I was in the kitchen learning how to cook...., I'm sure there are as many okra recipies as Bubba cooked shrimp....
Yeah! Just what a Sauce Piquant was made for. It's good the stumble around here. Find a gem ever now and then. Good work.
Umm will you marry me? I cook too.
The world would be a better place if everybody seasoned their food like a Cajun that’s for sure! Much love from Texas

Is hot sauce q common condiment for this?
You lost me when you added tomato
It looks so good !
Love this! Didn’t know about the oven tip! I’m gonna use that
Tysm my husband 😂has been asking me to add okra but i hate the slime😅...now we can meet in the middle.❤ i watched and ran try ur technique for okra ..looks great 👍
Looks good. My mom used to dice the okra and fry them until the slime was gone before cooking. Also no tomatoes. Try some verones smoke sausage. But you got it looking good and tasty. Another trick use dried shrimp. La born and raised in Alaska.
This looks good! My family uses Butter for roux too! #Creolecooking
Now by adding the tomato paste does it come out tasting like that? I’m into roux and brown gravies
I tried this recipe. It tastes superb 👌 😋.. Great job, Chef.. Thank you. God Bless you and your family. 🙏🏽

My Cajun Daddy is from Southwest Louisiana. Last time he and I were there together was at a sauce piquant festival. Even though I grew up with a Cajun Memere , I had not had sauce piquant before. I’m hooked! I can cook a mean gumbo an a mean étouffée but sauce piquant has alluded me. Thank you for the recipe! Can you do a catfish court bouillon recipe too? Best from a Cajun misplaced in Tennessee.
Recipe please
Thank you for using jalapeños. They have so much flavor, are not too hot and can be bought anywhere.
Beautiful! I have to ask... did you cut the nose off that spoon? I'm going to do that... Thank you!
I agree fresh garlic is just better. Pre Minced garlic is watered down.
I am from central Louisiana, I see you throw down. I love a smothered anything
One of the best things on earth you can eat. I make this all the time with chicken breasts. Also good with pork neck bones. Everybody should try it.
