My brother was mates with Mike Badger back in the day. I had demo tape of a session with Mavers that I’ve not heard anywhere. I wish I still had it. Had a brilliant version of IOU on it with a superior guitar sound. The quality of the demo was excellent. Absolutely gutted.
Little Moe's matter of factness is refreshing
Nico was a goddess. Lou got butthurt about her being in the band because he didn't like anyone who was on his level and above to challenge him. She was a good focal point. He was a pockmarked bitter little bastard. The only person who recognized her abilities was John Cale who produced several albums with her afterward. It's really disheartening to see how nonchalant they were about her.
John Lennon was a no talent leftist activist hypocrite with a short fuse. Yoko Oh no is an evil attention starved witch that is totally responsible for The Beatles breaking up.

The 1962 version. I think the decision to country- fy "1 After 909" in '69 was in large part to the resemblance to the beat of "I Saw Her Standing There" and for me? that was a mistake. All that's missing from the earlier version is the falsetto McCartny "woo's" -- I would hope they's separate the Lennon voice and redo it "I Saw Her Standing There" style. Paul still has the pipes to pull it off.........

$6000 for the debut album? What do they do with the additional $5000 after they invested about 1/6 of it in making it, judging by the sound of it? Seriously, $6000 in 1976 is tens of thousands today… I guess literally renting the radio city musical recording studio is most of the budget, I'm paying Craig Leon. Loll, I say that, and it is easily my favorite album of all time.
The band would have pocketed what was left over. I’ve read too many Ramones books, and that is what they would do with what is left in the budget.
@@joel8750 you and me both.: Ramones- An American Band, Jim Bessiman (sp?... not so good, but it was the only one out at the time), I Slept w/Joey by Mickey, Commando by Johnny, Lobotomy: Surviving the Ramones by Dee Dee, On the Road by Monte, Punk Rock Blitzkrieg by Marky, and I Know Better Now by Richie are what I've read so far.
@@LetsGoMetsGo33 I have also read Vera and Roxy's books as well. Richie's book is the best. Not too much negativity or bashing (also quite funny and honest) and it has a natural style to read, like John's. Which book did you like out of all of them?
@@joel8750 I really enjoyed Richie's, and most of them. My favorite isMonte, because of all the other voices in it, it's the most informative. Fun. I probably should get the new version with some extra pages and stuff. I'm sure I will get to it. wonder why CJ hasn't put one out yet.
@@LetsGoMetsGo33 I think CJ is in his late 50's, so hopefully, he does put one out. He doesn't get enough credit. He will write a book, I am sure. Ramones fans are hardcore and will read it, like you and I. I saw him live once, and he was great. I didn't pay to meet him afterward, but a great show. I hope he plays Australia again.
