Even though they did divorce and it didn't work out.. those two were soulmates, man. I mean they remained close friends till Lucy died, even after she got married. She even invited Desi to hang out with her and her husband together. Her husband understood that her and Desi were only friends, but to remain platonic, yet close friends with your ex husband till death is something very people can ever say they did.

It's interesting that by the time Edie Adams sang this on the last episode they were barely speaking to each other. As a matter of fact based on a documentary I saw they yelled and fought off camera through the entire episode.

It's incredible the chemistry they still had on camera even though I believe at this time Lucy and Desi were divorced. I saw a documentary about Lucy and she said that she and Desi actually became better friends/co-parents and grandparents after they divorced. Even though this episode isn't from the show "I Love Lucy", I think it's from "The Lucy and Desi Comedy Hour", I still think it belongs together with "I Love Lucy" in showing how Lucy and Ricky first met and fell in love. Especially since when Lucy and Ricky first met they didn't really like each other LOL.

Lucy may have gone on to remarry but she truly loved desi right up to the end!!!!...if you watch her interview with barbara walters you hear that she resented him for destroying their marriage.....what lucy never really came to understand...like most women...they think that when their husband cheats it has something to do with them,their marriage or relationship, when in fact it totally has nothing to do with them and every thing to with the person who is doing the cheatin....deep down i think desi loved lucy as much as she loved him but he just did not have enough self control over his desire for other women...some men cheat for no other reason than they r bored...
