This is for old tractor junkies
pour the coals for better mixing.
Nice. The old equipment runs just as good as the new.
how many acres do you farm
how come the 1086 had duel rims on in side and out side maybe you have done a video on this b4 just wondering i seen it first on big tractor power that way
What size harrows are you pulling?
Sweet ole rigs, love it!
That's a beautiful 5288, the 88 series were excellent designed tractors, I wish IH would have survived intact. Case got lucky to piggyback on some first class engineering.
Some real beauties!
Great Video!
How many acres do you farm with that equipment? I'm curious because I'm starting out and will be using equipment very similar to yours, even down the the 14 series combine.
You definitely have some nice, clean looking older equipment. I also have a 1086 and will be looking for a 2+2 in the near future. I'm trying to stay with non-computer tractors since I'll be farming only 100 acres I own until I can find some land to rent and I can't afford new tractors or their bills for repair work at the stealerships.
Brings back memories of my late father driving these in the UK,I used to get in from school and go ride the combine with him...they also had 2 5288's,a four wheel drive and a two wheel drive which I ended up driving a lot as a 13yr old power harrowing and discing.as well as a 1256xl,1056xl and an 885xl...good days...thanks for posting.
Great simple and reliable machine, adjust the rod above your unload auger until it folds in fully but still has some resistance in the saddle so it doesn’t swing out all the time, have this issue when I put my 1020 on all of a sudden it wants to swing out all the time from leaning forward.
Love ih red Be careful walking under that raised grain trailer, I lost a close friend who did that
You have an antique w r grace, rain guage there, worked for them in the 70s and 80s, gave many of them out, can't imagine many are still around
That’s cool!
Enjoyed the video. What model Toro Zero turn is in the video ?
What's the name of that song that starts playing at 12:53?
Not sure🤣
Ran backhoes for over 40 years never had to be pulled out of the mud.
Who’s dad has a 1640 and a 1688
If ya don't bleed red like a good old international or case, your crazy.
Anyway to see your set up for the trencher? Like your tile boot. I’m very interested in doing this my self.
Yeah I would love too, we got the trencher on auction for 9500, then we had to get the laser for 2000 and other miscellaneous things, ended up being a 13000 setup.
In the 40s and 50s I grew up next a small dairy farm... and in my opinion there's nothing better than a small farm. It's a great way of life and you learn so much about that life and the beauty of the things that God gives you to enjoy.
Is that an old 280 stuck in the corner?
185 I think, it’s the niebhor
@@somesmallfarmers5629 the Hagie?
Yeah it’s a 284, currently getting the Trimble 2050 working in it again
@@somesmallfarmers5629 take care of that old machine, they ain't gonna make them like that anymore.
Not they don’t😂
I couldn't see what was wrong with the 200, didn't get a long enough look in your video. I love my 200.
The decal is backwards
@@somesmallfarmers5629 got it
Cool drone shots of the two working side by side. Looked like some real good soybeans at the end of the video.
Thanks, love watching your videos
Love the tractors. 86 series and 5288 always my favorite.
Elevator is not in high. I can run 5 mph with 8 row in270bu corn.
I see, what’s the process of that because even if it was in high the sieves are not long enough to keep it in the machine
@@somesmallfarmers5629 there's different drive sprocket
🌽👍 IH
lH ,case & allis.all look top notch 👍😎
Nice IH equipment!
great work mate 👍😃
I grew up on a 1066 and a 5288. very fond memories. Great to see them running!
Thanks l, love watching your channel, have been for a long time
@@somesmallfarmers5629 Appreciate that! Took a little break to welcome my 1st born son into the world! i think if you go to my video list and go to like my first video, it will be of my grandpa's 1066 and 5288. I think i was 16 at the time
That's the sharpest 5288 I've ever seen. It looks brand new. I can't believe it 👍.
Thank you
Not this is when they built equipment. We still have our 1973, 966 and 1066 that we ordered in 1972. I was 17 at the time . My Sister has our 1466 that was bought new a couple years later. We also have a 1086 and a 766. The oldest IH we have is a H Farmall bought in 1946 right after WW 2 by my Grandfather. IH could find him one anywhere, he would not wait to have one built, so he bought it off the black market. Cost him more but, he had his tractor in time to put His crop in .
I have been watching a few of your videos and noticed you have some of the older Case tractors. I can't tell what models they are except the 830. What are the others? When I grew up we had Case tractors and loved every one of them. They were great strong dependable tractors back then.
We have a 830 and 800
We use to have a 1660 till we got our 7010 caseIH combine
sharp 1086. nice 5288 . when I worked on the farms I drove from super M to 5488. the 5488 was a bad a-- tractor 6 rice and canes tires . seen it pull a 11 tine chilel plow on the frame .
I watched because of your Card's shirt. 🇺🇸
Love that 86 series equipment we had 3 1486 and 2 1586 tractors in late 70s thru 1980s good equipment
nice video, what part of the county do you live?
Southern Indiana
88 series the last of the international tractors.
Would love to see a full tour of all your equipment in a video - when you find time. Harvest all done or you all still have some corn or double crop soybeans?
All done now😂
We used to have 1680, i worked for several years for a farmer that had 1688. Both were the most reliable, dependable combines i have ever been around.
You are getting a lot of cob pieces. The reason is that the ears are tumbling in the rotor cage, not rolling. It seems counter-intuitive, but the concave needs to be set tighter. We sold our 1440 last week, our 1680 is set at 1.5 on the indicator & our 2388 is at 2.1 on the LCD. > 90% of our cobs on the ground are whole.
Our 1688 does a better job, the 1440 has some ware and doesn’t do as good of a job anymore
I put 29 crops through a 79 1440. Three complete rebuilds during that time still cost me less than trading until in 2006 I bought a real good, low houred 1680.
Got 2 52`s; love them. Keep the videos coming.
I about flipped out when you guys walked underneath that raised frameless dump trailer. Nice machinery! 👍🏼
Great video. What is the model # of the toro zero turn ? Thx.
It is a toro, don’t know the model number
Poor filming quality Nice tractors and stuf
