First Start of the Year! Hay Season is Here!
Its finally time to cut hay! I've got to start my Owatonna 260 in order to move the Hesston 6550 swather that I'm going to cut with this year. The Hesston was a new addition to the fleet last season, but the Owatonna is a seasoned veteran for me.

FARMALL PARADE: Unloading after the fact
Переглядів 17019 годин тому
The first parade I’ve ever driven a tractor in is in the books! These three ran great, even after the John Deere B and John Deere 70 were acting up. It’s getting to the time of the year when haying starts, so be sure to subscribe and follow along to watch as all of these antiques get out to work! Our Farmall B, Farmall C, and Farmall 240 made an appearance this year. Along with a John Deere 50,...
OH SPLIT! The Farmall B is Under the Knife!
Переглядів 31421 день тому
The Farmall B makes it’s first official appearance on the channel after purchase. The final drives are very noisy, the clutch bolts rub when depressed, and the coolant drains out of a freeze plug in the back of the block. I’ve never split a tractor before so this one seems like a good a tractor as any to start on! These issues need to be fixed before our local parade and to use raking during ha...

I got the engine to turn freely and everything looks complete. Hopefully we can get this going with minimal effort. The tires all look good and it looks like it had a tune up just before it got parked. As always,...

I also learned last night about IH being short on red pigment from late 1945 to mid 1947. They mixed half and half with yellow oxide to extend the red pigment. After decades in the sun they turned yellow. This one is a 1946 so it could be that too🤷🏼‍♂️

Good luck! It would be much easier if the oil feed line to the gauge was about 6” longer so the dash could pull out farther to give you room. Otherwise it should be fun!

Thanks for the great video. I have a 1952 70 I grew up on at my grandpa's farm. We used it for baling and discing. The clutch needs rebuilt. This was a big help. I also have a formal C like yours in video. It was the first tractor I learned to drive at a young age. Thanks again....

My parts store always has them and I can always rob them off another tractor if I have a breakdown. Just makes it easier for me.
