Mick Taylor is magnificent. My favorite stones years are the Mick Taylor years.
He's so beautiful. When I saw him I just couldn't stop staring at him, he wasn't interested in me though haha
Sounds like Waddy Watchel in background playing guitar.
I've seen Taylor 5 times, with Mayall in 68, with the Stones in '69, and solo in 99. He never disappoints!
Spiel....Danke Rolling stones 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
1972 at msg July 26 no more to be said never know why he quit the band?
Not only the great guitar playing but the songs were better than the later years without MT.
They let TAYLOR go for Ron?????????🤮
He was the best true lead player they ever had.
Was never a massive stones fan growing up… but almost every one of the songs that I loved I found out later had Mick Taylor on them. He was the secret sauce to the best of what they did.
After Taylor left, the Stones became an ordinary great band.
The Mick Taylor era was when the Stones were in their prime. He brought out the best in Richards.
stones have never been the same
Taylor was the best!
1:55 - 4:50 or so, he absolutely kills with those soaring blues runs. not much better to hear
With Taylor, the Stones entered the modern age and became a real rock'n roll band, then it fade away
Taylor was the best thing the band ever had...
I'm listening to Bill's bass lines and find him incredible.
Yes, I can hear it's Taylor, but what is so special about it? Not a bad guitarist, nothing more
Mick was clearly heavily into Santana in the years he was in the Stones. It's super evident on his tone and style of playing here, and on studio songs like Can't You Hear Me Knocking and Time Waits of No One, both of which both feature long, winding Carlos Santana style solo's.
The media that ranks these guitar players are all on payola from the big 3.
This b maybe the greatest version I’ve ever heard and I’ve damn near all if em. Thankyou !
ByListen to Bare Wires, with John Mayall or his first record with Mayall, his first record. His progress is outstanding. He shows why he was good for the stones. He was a teen ager, asked to join the most successful acts in the world. That doesnt happen often.
He's an absolutely a fixture in the history of this incredible rock band. For if Mick & Keith hadn't found Mick T. I don't think they would have been as successful as they were. Thanks to all of you for this great decision you made . ❤😊
Hace tiempo estoy suscripto pero te pediria de la manera mas atenta subas mas videios mas atenta subas nas viseos de esta calidad por favor
The greatest rock'n'roll band in 70's THE INCREDIBLE ... ... "MICK TAYLOR and his Rolling Stones"
As good a live R&R soloist as there has been...ever! And then there's the solo on Winter from Goats Head Soup. As beautifully lyrical as electric guitar playing gets!
Don't blame Keef, blame Jagger who promised him writing credits. The Glimmers weren't even writing together anymore
This version of Heartbreaker is probably the stones best live performance ever. But all of the band were on top of their game as well clearly inspired by Taylor and Preston
The Stones were never better without him. Not even close.
C'est ce que l'on appelle dire n'importe quoi Taylor est très fort y ont un grand merci à lui dire
The Stones should release again "Get Your Ya Ya's out" . But this time make Mick Taylor's guitar as loud if not louder than Keith's. it's a crime the way the original was mixed. what's the matter Keith ??? JEALOUS !!!!
Keith was pretty petty about Mick’s superior guitar prowess. Here’s how you fix Get Yer Ya-Yas Out. Use audio editing software to boost the left channel about 40-50%. Then convert the file to mono and…voilá, you’ve got a one channel remix with Mick up front. I’ve done this with I’m Goin’ Down by the Jeff Beck Group. Jeff’s incredible guitar was crowded by Max Middleton’s piano. Not anymore.
Many excellent observations here. As a former musician I think Mick T’s work was much less an issue of his precision and effortless style. To me, his playing supports the song at all times. The latter is an oft’ ignored aspect of a musicians talent. Is their playing actually making the song better? That’s the rub. There are a million technically good guitarists. But Mick’s rhythm, licks, leads etc always propped up the song. In some cases it made the song , I.e., Sway. This is an important aspect of Taylor’s presence with the Stones. Most fans laud his technical brilliance and rightly so. But, why do many say that his tenure was the Stones’s “golden era.? The real reason is the playing always supports the song. It is never smothering or overweening. It’s great to hear Mick let fly, But, having written songs and recorded, I know that a player’s understanding of where the song is going, what expression is being sought out are keys to success. Sheer musicality is indeed important but how it’s done is more important
Impresionante mi amado keith ,que viva el rock and roll.
And it was all downhill from there.
Pretty good
Mick taylor took the stones to the next level after he left they where good not great
Got my hand on my guitar listening to this hoping something will transfer to me That’s how it works right😅
whaouw !!🙄
Brilliant guitarist
Mick Jagger screwed Mick Taylor …screwed the Stones and deprived us fans of great Mick Taylor blues riffs
Not true
@@joe312d you don’t know what truth is
After Brian, the Stones continued on and morphed into a mega money making shlock band, lots of money, primitive music, cookie cutter junk. The short term tenure and brilliance of Mick Taylor could not cover up the artistic decline and lack of innovation. Who is R Wood, what's he doing there, he has no skills at all! You want to talk guitarists, talk Peter Green 'the only whitey who makes my back tingle' said BB King. I agree, he was a rare talent had all the skills beyond the occasional awe inspiring licks. And like Taylor, he too went through the John Mayall 'academy'.
Frampton . . . is also great. . . Leslie West / Joe Walsh are also great.
Sorry, sitting out in some farmers field, in a Jakes new Maverick, his rich dad bought him smokin afganny hash circa1970, was better than this. Gimme Shelter with the best guitarist Kieth Richards is 100% perfecto.
Greatest guitar the Stones ever had a fact which Keith is happy to concede
yep. my fav stones era. had more groove. more of a jam. and him charlie sound so cool together.
