The one piece of info I needed was barely mentioned, and you didn't even bother to show how it was done. How does he plug come off the alternator? Push sides? Press top? Lift tab? Use screwdriver? WHAT? Don't quit your day job.

My 2017 has a 36mm axle nut, I found this out after ordering the 32mm.

woop update i have the exact same car and its from Massachusetts which i bought 3 years ago , same color same lip kits same color seats and gps navigation, it would be a coincidence if its the same car . currently the power steering cooler line rusted and broke apart it has over 230k miles

My mechanic charged me eztra 65$ to remove the freon hose.

How much is a job like that cost?

I have a 2022 Acura ilx, trying to replace the axle and some other parts, (passenger side) I’ve tried every 32mm I have and the only thing I have to fit it is an adjustable wrench but the whole rotor and broken axle spins

Does the stee9rack needs to adjust the nuts? Or put more grease in steering rack.

All that could’ve been avoided by using good oil like Amsoil every 5 k, and doing top engine cleaning every 30 K.

Would love to see transmission service on that same car.. Most dealerships, don’t even know there’s an external filter for the trans that’s easy accessible right under the cooler.. Hopefully you guys are doing that when you do trans services?

I'm sick to my stomach. My 2008 Acura TL is right now in the process of having the steering rack replaced and ALL of the low pressure and high pressure lines, every one of them. The steering rack did not fail me, but the lines are all corroded from salt, living here in Nova Scotia, Canada, the salt eats our cars up hard. My GREAT backyard mechanic said that since the car has 198,000kms on her, I might as well buy a new rack because the lines come with the new rack anyways, to a point. . . so I agreed. The problem is, I called Acura here ans priced just the steering rack and it's $950.00 Canadian plus 15% tax and I would have to wait for it. The local Parts Source Store here in town had 2 in stock called " CARDONE", and it came with the high pressure lines ....BUT, I went online a few hours ago and all I found were 50% bad reviews that people had installed the " remanufactured" units and then within 6 months, had the rack seals blow out of them ! Jesus, 70 % of the cost of changing your rack is the labour. My mechanic said the subframe has to be lowered, the exhaust has to be removed, it's not a small job at all. One GOOD thing is, I had a small oil pan leak for 3 years now, but since the subframe is dropped, I got my mechanic to drop the pan and re-seal it, so no more spots on my new driveway. I couldn't believe that the car would empty a 28 dollar bottle of power steering fluid in 20 minutes of driving, until I looked in my service manual and read that the power steering system's high pressure side runs at 251 psi. I'm a high pressure pipe welder for 40 years, I know that is high for 3/8th lines to handle when they are all rusted.

Same car. If I remove the alternator, I can then pull the ac compressor out the same way ? I need to replace the compressor but trying not to remove the fans and radiator.

So that part you pushed in that went click is the reason for the recall? And if done will it faulty again. I have a 2020 RDX with a fuel pump issue. No fuel sending to the engine. Could that be the issue?

How did you get the steering shaft lose from the steering box? I removed the 10mm bolt but it doesn't want to let go of the shaft?

Is there a difference in the 2.0 vs the 2.4 model? There is a considerable price difference in parts. Genuine acrua parts were like 1000 for each side, aftermarket was like 120? Thoughts?

Do you recommend to reseal the rack rather than buying one? Wouldn't it last longer since it will be resealed with oem seals?

I'm doing this on a 2013 CRV today, do you have to run an ABS BLEED program on the vehicle? My scanner has the ability but I saw you just bleed the vehicle normally.

What you’re missing is that you have to use a top mount engine hoist to lift the engine up so you can clear the alternator to come out,, without lifting the engine the alternator will not come out, I may have to do a video to show how easy it is…
