Dave choosing to become a Foo Fighter instead of the also very viable option of becoming a Heartbreaker makes me think of a line from a Robert Frost poem, "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference."

Well, I was enjoying the parts he tells about his childhood up until the end of the Scream days. Then the Iggy Pop part made me raise an eyebrow, then the further it went the more I started to realize something was a bit off, eventually I closed the video when he when went to buy a sandwich to his wife across the street of the hospital and Jennifer Lopez was there buying something to eat too. The Nirvana part though was very hard and well written, I felt he was very sincere there, it was sad. And I think he did the right thing in keeping it short, because it was only a few years out of his grand life, not his whole life.

I like listening to this but “The Storyteller” is such a bland title. I’m surprised the autobiography isn’t called something more like, “Times like These”.

The next day, I woke up, walked to my kitchen, began to make coffee, and it hit me. He's not coming back. He's gone. But, I'm still here. I get to wake, and live another day. No matter how good or bad. It made no sense. How could someone just disappear?

A fantastic book. Dave is one of the good guys.

I gave it my best try I really did And I’m only about three years older than Dave ….. we think so opposite I can’t relate to anything he’s saying and no… it didn’t go above my head I’m just not part of that. I didn’t like it less is more I guess is sort of relevant to appoint, but it’s some point. It just becomes less and I’m not into that. As a musician, … no thank you

I've enjoyed listening to this book very much. Dave seems like a very real and genuine guy, and has a great sense of humor. I am a nobody of a musician and probably will always be, but one of my favorite songs to play as a solo artist is the song everlong. Cheers to you Dave keep making that music. Much respect.

Being a father of 4 girls i know what you're talking about but you are so boring the way you keep going on about the father bit and we all know the Disney influence bit is not a healthy road to be going down, stick to the music side of the road you're lucky to have that and please don't do any more books.

So far I' find myself listening to some ego maniac who has no understanding of what life really is, as a musician myself who has played professionally for at least 50 years and had a great life doing what i do and not wanting to do more than I'm doing, perhaps I'm blessed for life in my case before the whole punk crap kicked in, i was brought up listening to the blues masters and then the incredible string band with a little bit of zappa and beef heart, i recammend for you cast your mind back and read some James Joyce thinking maybe ULYSSES.
